Saturday 7pm
It was girls night at Kara's apartment.
Kara had just ordered pizza and pot stickers when there's a knock at the door. She pulled her glasses down to see who had arrived. When she looked through the door with her x-ray vision she saw her sister and sister-in-law standing there hand in hand.
She super sped over to the door, yanked it open and wrapped her arms around them both.
"Oh! Hello!" Alex and Sam said in unison.
"Hey," Kara replied energetically. She backed away and saw the shocked expressions on their faces. She blushed and said "sorry, I'm just excited," with her sad puppy dog eyes.
"It's okay," Alex laughed walking towards the fridge and pulling out a beer.
"Just help yourself why don't you," Kara offered sarcastically raising an eyebrow at her sister.
"I will," she returned smugly getting a bottle of red wine out for her sister and wife then opening her own drink.
Sam and Kara looked at each other and sighed as they walked from the door to the kitchen. Kara popped the cork on the wine bottle as Sam got two glasses out of the cabinet. They poured some wine into the glasses and joined Alex who was already sitting on the sofa halfway through her first beer.
"So, how's the adoption search going?" Kara asked.
"Fine," Sam replied looking upset.
"It's just going a bit slower than we'd hoped," Alex told Kara, putting her arm around her distraught wife and finishing her beer.
Kara's expression changed as Alex went and got another beer. When Alex came back she kissed Sam's forehead and sat next to her. Kara fixed her expression as Sam blushed, smiling "I can't stay upset, not with you next to me." She rested her head on Alex's shoulder.
"So, how are you enjoying being a partner at L-Corp," Kara asked Sam. Sam opened her mouth to say something but, as if on cue, there's a knock at the door. Sam closed her mouth as Kara went to answer the door.
When she opened it she saw Lena, looking at her, a smile plastered across her face. As Kara wrapped her arms around the Luthor she felt a bolt of lightning jolt through her. They lingered their, in each other's arms, for a moment until Alex cleared her throat and they jumped apart. "We can leave you alone if you want," she offered to her now red sister and friend.
"What are you talking about?" Kara denied.
"Oh nothing," Alex smiled. Sam kicked her lightly whispering "leave them alone, they'll get there in their own time."
"Aw, that hurt!" Alex complained. Sam rolled her eyes saying, "baby!"
Lena, now sitting on the chair across from them, was giggling as Kara handed her a glass of wine and sat on the floor right next to her chair.
"What's so funny?" Alex complained, still in a bad mood. "It's just you guys really have the, flirtatious, marital bickering down," Lena chuckled her reply. The couple looked at each other and flushed deep red.
Kara giggled, "okay, so Sam you didn't answer the question, are you enjoying being a partner at L-Corp or is Lena a total nightmare?" Kara said changing the subject.
"Hey!" The Luthor cried, annoyed, giving her crush a sarcastically offended look.
"She's the best, she even built me my own office," Sam butted in, "I couldn't ask for a better partner." Lena blushed at her friend's kind words, "thank you," the Luthor smiled.
