Sunday 4pm

Alex handed Kara a bag "I know you haven't eaten anything today," she told her sister. Kara looked inside "I'm not hungry." Alex looked at her in shock "who are you? My sister would never turn down pot stickers!" Kara didn't even flinch. "Ok I'll make you a deal, if you eat these and go get changed then you can go help Sam and Ruby get our spare room ready for him to say in tonight," Alex negotiated. Kara's face lit up and she grabbed the bag, scoffing every one of them down in under 30 seconds. She kissed the baby's forehead before flying out the DEO.

After going back to her apartment and changing clothes she flew over to Sam's house and knocked on the door. Ruby was the one who answered "Aunty Kara!" She screamed "thank god you're here, mum and Aunty Lena are trying to carry a crib to the spare room and need major help." She lowered her voice checking that they weren't behind her "and we both know your the strongest." Kara winked at her "yeah we do."

Ruby let her in and immediately Kara saw Lena and Sam wobbling back and forth at the top of the stairs. She ran up to them "here let me help," the super said as she grabbed a bit of the crib with a fraction of her strength. Ruby was next to them now, she burst out laughing as Kara pretended to be struggling. Lena looked at her "ok Kiddo if you think it's so funny, maybe you should try helping," she raised her brow. Ruby grabbed a corner and they carried it into the room and placed it in the centre.

They all took a moment to catch their breaths "what are you doing here?" Sam asked her sister-in-law. Kara let out a, not so fake now that she saw Lena property, deep breath "Alex called me, it's my day off and I was board." Kara then turned to Lena "why do you make me take days off?" She questioned. Lena smiled "and what makes you think I have any control over your hours?" The Luther retorted. Kara thought about it "well you do own the entire company," she justified. "Trust me if I had any control over your job every hour of it would be spent by my side," Lena's comment made her blush.

They were pulled out of their shared daze when Ruby started giggling "you two are so cute," she commented. The two of them started blushing furiously and Sam grabbed her daughter's shoulder "come on munchkin let's get everyone some drinks," she said, leading her daughter out of the room.

"Why can't we comment on their googly eyes?" Ruby asked as the two of them walked out. Sam looked at her daughter "because it makes them uncomfortable," she explained. "But Alex does it," Ruby complained. Sam rolled her eyes "and do you do everything Alex does?" "Well no, I didn't marry you," she replied sarcastically, "that would be creepy." Sam stood there speechless for a few moments. "Wow, just wow, I have to admit that was a good one."

They walked into the kitchen and poured some lemonade into glasses. "So how's school going," Sam said clearly wanting to move on from their previous topic. "Fine, I moved up to Willa's math class." She said nonchalantly. "That's great Rube!" She was way more excited about it than her daughter.

They walked back up to the room and Kara and Lena grabbed a cup each. "Thanks," they said before sipping their drinks.

After they had finished their drinks all four of them went to find more stuff for the room. Ruby opened up an old box and pulled something out "oh, this is cute," she lifted up a mobile with bunnies hanging from it, showing it off. The grown ups nodded in approval and they started a pile to take down to the room.

The pile got higher as teddies, blankets and some pictures for the wall were added. They were almost ready to go back down when Kara noticed a sheet covering something in the corner "what's this?" She asked. Sam looked up "probably something of my mother's, I got some of her stuff when she died," she explained. Ruby said "cool!" As she ran over and pulled the sheet off, accidentally throwing it over her aunties causing them to topple over each other. Sam and Ruby pulled it off them "sorry," she apologized. The two of them sat up and Lena said "it's fine Kiddo." Kara was about to repeat it when she turned and saw a tiny cut on Lena's perfect cheek "oh my, are you ok, your hurt, I'll go get the first aid kit," she rambled and tried to get up but Lena grabbed her wrist. "I'm fine," she reassured her, Kara relaxed but didn't take her eyes off Lena. Not even when the other three noticed what had been under the sheet before. It was a beautiful handcrafted wooden rocking chair, "wow," they stared at it in awe.

Lena offered to help Sam carry the chair down but Kara wouldn't let her so she decided to help Ruby with the pile of stuff. She found a couple of empty boxes and they filled them then followed Sam and Kara down.

When they reached the room Sam and Ruby started pushing the crib towards the wall while Kara sat Lena down. "I said I'm fine," Lena complained. Kara kneeled down in front of her "I know, just sit still this will only take a minute," Kara instructed as she grabbed her best friend's chin and turned her head in order to see the wound clearly. When Kara began cleaning it Lena winced, Kara rolled her eyes. After she finished she asked Lena which plaster she wanted. "Are these really all you've got?" Lena asked as Sam hammered a nail into the wall. "I'm afraid so," Sam answered placing put a picture on the first nail. Kara snapped her fingers "Come on Lena it's just a plaster, Hello Kitty or Supergirl?" She snapped at Lena who still didn't make a decision. Ruby passed her mum another picture while she declared "she'll have Supergirl," taking the decision out of her auntie's hands. Kara peeled open one of the Supergirl plasters and gently placed it on Lena's face, smoothing it out with the tip of her finger.

After that they started helping with moving the furniture. Sam put the last picture up above the crib, Kara moved an armchair that was already in the room next to the window and Lena lifted Ruby to put the mobile up.

They put the finishing touches on the room, teddies, blankets and pillows in the crib and seats. They admired their work then they heard the door so they went downstairs.

Alex was there baby carrier in one hand, baby supplies and big belly burger in the other. Alex put the baby down and announced "I've got everyone's favourites." Ruby took the food then Sam kissed Alex and pulled her into a hug. Lena realized there was food for her too "how did you know I was going to be here?" She asked. Alex smirked "Ruby sent me a picture, nice plaster by the way," Lena covered her cheek with her palm "it was all there was," she justified. "Really, is that what they told you?" Alex pulled open a drawer by the door, pulling out a pack of plain plasters. Lena scowled at the two Arias girls "and who's idea was that!" Lena was mad and slightly embarrassed. The two of them shared a look, silently they pointed towards Kara then grabbed the bags and ran to the kitchen, Alex following close behind.

Lena turned fully planning to blow up at her but when she saw Kara she had picked up the baby out of the carrier and was standing holding the baby close to chest while rocking him. The sight made Lena melt forgetting about all the angry emotions she had before. Kara had her eyes closed and hadn't even realised what was happening around her as she blocked out everything but her and this baby who she felt a natural connection to. Lena could feel butterflies in her stomach from seeing her crush cradling the baby as if he were her own.

She eventually got up the courage to pull her crush out of her idyllic world. Lena placed a hand on Kara's shoulder making her jump. "Sorry," the Luthor apologised. Kara smiled "it's ok," looking around she asked "where is everyone?" "In the living room, Alex got us big belly burger," Lena was really excited about her favourite food.

They walked through to join the others and plopped themselves down on one of the sofas. Ruby was picking a movie to watch "oh, can we watch this one?" She asked. Lena immediately said "no," claiming it would be too scary for baby. That's right the fearless billionaire Lena Luthor was scared of horror movies. They eventually agreed on a movie and got stuck into their food. Lena was feeding Kara because she was still clinging to the baby. Suddenly he started bawling so they paused the movie. Alex got up and lifted him from her sisters arms "he's probably just hungry," she said, "I'll go make him a bottle." Sam stood up "I'll come help," she declared "and yous can play it if you want, we've seen it already." Ruby played the movie.

While preparing the bottle and a few others for tomorrow they talked. "So what's going to happen to him tomorrow?" Sam asked. Alex gave her an uneasy look "I really don't know, we can worry about it tomorrow," she answered.

When they finished they put the spare bottles in the fridge and returned to the living room where Alex proceeded to feed the baby. After the movie finished Kara took him upstairs and put him to bed. Lena went up with her "do you need a lift home?" She asked as they came back down stairs. Kara nodded. Sam, Alex and Ruby waved bye as the two of them got into the car.

They all got changed into pajamas then put on the horror movie Lena refused to watch. They all sat and watched the movie but five minutes in Ruby fell sound asleep on Alex's arm so they put the movie off. Alex carried her up the stairs tucked her into bed and kissed her forehead before Sam and her went to bed.
