Maria and me were sitting having a good time about our future and what we plan to do when we get a man.
Maria: So who do you have eyes for at this moment?
Me: Idk I'm still trying to get over Charles. But I have my eyes on a guy name Terrell.
Maria: 🤔 who might this Terrell be.? I'm your best friend and I have no clue who he is.
Me: I guy I meet at a family gathering through my brother. I didn't wanna say anything just yet. We're taking it slow.
Maria: Girl , I understand. I'm actually back talking to my ex.
Me: MARIA WTF !!! NO !!
Maria: I'm Sorry Di.. he has my heart and I wanna give it another try.
Me: So that means I get to punch you right?
Maria: (laughs) Plz Don't. You hit too hard and I'll be hurting for days. Maybe even weeks.
Me: Just because you're the bestest friend I ever had I'll let you continue to be happy. If you're happy I'm happy and that's all that matter.
Maria: I love You.
Me: I love you more. So that means I can go back to Charles, right?
Maria: If that's what make you happy. I really liked him and how he treated you. Try talking to him
(TV interrupts their conversation) TV Reporter: We coming to you with the latest news. There has been an accident. A man in his late 20s was texting while driving 90 in a 50 and went head on with a 18 wheeler. The man was identified as Charles Matthe.....
I scream and grab my purse and keys and head for the door with Maria right behind me because I was now in no condition to drive at the moment.
15 minutes pass as they were sitting in the waiting room waiting on a doctor to tell them that everything was okay. As they were waiting, Frances rushes in headed for the front desk until she spotted me sitting. We made eye contact and she rushed over to me.
