She ran to her room, on the verge of tears. She felt like her life was falling apart. Being a teenager made everything seem a lot worse than it really was, and to add to it, she hadn't fully dealt with the emotional toll her father's actions had taken on her.
The second she got to her room, she immediately broke down in tears. Not knowing how to deal with all the things she was feeling, she resorted to the only thing she knew would take the pain away: cutting.

She grabbed the box holding all sorts of blades from under her bed and grabbed the sharpest one. Why do I have to be so stupid! She thought to herself as she picked up the blade, dragging accross her wrists several times before feeling more in control over her feelings. It's strange how the things one does do stay sane are often the things that wind up driving them insane. She had been so caught up with what she was doing, she failed to notice her brother opening the door and coming in.
"Hey, Iz where's the- shit."
At first, Mickey didn't quite process the sight in front of him, but once he took it all in and it all registered in his head, he sprung into action. He quickly went over to her, removing the blade from her grip and tossing it to the side before holding her so she couldn't go grab it again, and taking her to the bathroom connected to her room to clean her up, ignoring her protests.
After much fighting on her part, he was eventually able to hold her down enough to clean her up as she continued sobbing in his arms. Once he was done he carried her back to the room, climbing under the covers with her still sobbing in his arms. He sat there holding her close, letting her let out all the pain she had pain holding in for years, whispering soothing words to her. Eventually, she tired herself out and fell asleep in her brother's arms once again.
"Please don't leave me," she quietly mumbled, her energy drained from everything that had happened in the last two hours.
"I'm not going anywhere," he reassured her before letting her snuggle up to him and get some more sleep.
