A bored looking siren who looked about 12 years old, sat silently under a sharp ledge. He had a blue shimmering tail and sad grey eyes. His hair was dark blue that faded to green at the bottom, pearls hanging from each of his webbed ears. His hands were webs and a pearl necklace dangled from his neck."Hmm I wonder where that cowardly Poseidon is?" A mental though touched Poseidon, causing him to shiver. He nervously peered from the rock he was hiding, there was no sign of Oceanus. The young siren gave a sigh of relief.
"Ha that's where you were!" Poseidon felt someone pull his hair from behind, making him grit his teeth with pain. "You really gotta keep your thoughts quiet" Oceanus said, menace creeping in his mental tone.
Sirens, talked with their thoughts. You can't really talk underwater so sirens had the adaptation to speak with their thoughts. It was a bit weird.
Poseidon shut his eyes tight as Oceanus hit him with a sharp stone.
He was very handsome unlike Poseidon. He has light blue hair and sharp orange eyes. His necklace was made out or gold sea stars, seashells and blue stones. A shark tooth tattoo was seen on his right shoulder blade, giving him a more threatening aura. His tail was light blue that quickly fades into dark blue. Most girls would fall for him if he wasn't a jerk.
Poseidon felt the the water around him go warm, squinting his eyes he saw it was blood. In the ocean, it's not safe to bleed. Sharks and other dangerous seas creatures can smell it from far away, and when they smell blood, they smell food.
"STOP! Poseidon screamed at Oceanus "You'll attract those dangerous sea creatures the elders would talk about!"
"That's what I'm doing." Poseidon's eyes widened.
"WHAT!? Are you crazy!?"
"Hmm maybe," Oceanus grinned before pushing the younger siren away before swimming away.
Poseidon tried swimming after him, but he was too slow. He never was a fast swimmer, but at least he wasn't a jerk.
When he finally reached the pod, his dad came swimming up to him.
"Again? Where were you, how did this happen?" His dad asked, pointing at the scar on his back.
"I scraped myself against a rock when I was playing with the dolphins," Poseidon replied casually, it was easy to lie with your thoughts.
His dad blinked at him like he didn't believe it but nodded anyways. "We better get that bandaged up, you're lucky not many sea creatures except for us live in these parts," he says with a grim expression. Poseidon was good at reading people's face, wether they were sad, happy or frustrated.
Poseidon tried asking about his mom and his sister, but his dad would always reply with "I'll tell you when you're older." When will he be older? He only knew his sister died from pirates and nothing about his mom except for her appearance. When ever he answers without the "when you get older" he would talk about how beautiful and how amazing his mom was. How she had dark green hair that reached to her hips and her playful teal eyes. How she had a green shimmering tail with small decorations on it. Those were the only things he knew about his mom. His dad would always stop there with a pained expression.
