"It isn't that big of a deal,"Niall replied smoothly, and Harry threw his hands up in the air and scoffed. I knew it was a big deal. I was holding him from doing his job, and I couldn't keep him from his fans no matter how bad I wanted to.
"He's right, Ni.."I put a hand on Niall's shoulder, and he looked down.
"I just don't wanna leave you.."Niall said quietly.
"But you have to, just trust me."I replied.
"Thank you, Ariana!"Harry said, folding his arms. He must've taken sassy lessons from Louis.
-2 weeks later-
"Go."I urged Niall. He gave me a quick kiss on the cheek before leaving to the studio. We had bought a small house in London because of how often we came here. I sat on the couch and decided to take a quick scroll through twitter. We haven't announced the engagement or pregnancy yet, afraid of the fans opinions. I saw some pictures, one in particular standing out. A picture with my left hand circled, the ring fully visible.
"Are @RealAriM and @NiallOfficial engaged?! #1dupdates"
Deny it all, I told myself. I couldn't be the reason One Direction spiraled down. The new album would be amazing, I was sure. The few fans that liked me always asked questions, and I would just reply with 'My lips are sealed (: xo'
I had become fast friends with Eleanor and Danielle, still waiting to meet Perrie. We kept each others secrets, and they reminded me alot of Laura, Macy and Teagan back in Mullingar. I read through the messages about not deserving Niall and that he was too good for me, and that I should kill myself. The entire engagement "rumor" set off the fans, more hate coming in than usual. Ignore it, Ariana. You're just a girl.
When Niall got back from the studio, I was just starting dinner.
"Why isn't dinner done?"He questioned, clearly tired.
"I was just done reading the hate I get from dating you, Niall."I responded, and he rolled his eyes.
"You didn't have to read it."He said, sounding.. annoyed? What did I do? I knew his annoyed voice anywhere -- the voice he used when he talked to Jackie.
"Maybe I won't tomorrow,"I tried to smile, although I knew that wasn't going to get me anywhere. He was now sitting at the table, scrolling through his phone. The blue glare that reflected onto his face told me he was on Twitter. I finally put the pancakes onto the plate, grabbing syrup and bringing it to Niall.
"Pancakes?"He groaned. His attitude was starting to annoy me.
"Okay, listen. I don't know what your problem is today but this is the best I could do."I replied, folding my arms.
"What MY problem is?"Niall laughed humorlessly.
"Yes!"I said, and he tilted his head back and laughed.
"Nothing's funny."I whined, and he got up.
"You know what is funny? You leaving this god damn house right now."He replied. Was he kicking me out? What did this even mean?
"What?"I raised my eyebrows.
"You heard me. Don't give me attitude next time. GO."He gave me a small shove, which knocked me to the ground. There was a tinge of regret in his eyes, but that was enough for me. I got up, finding all my courage before slapping him right across his face. He stood in shock for a moment.
"Bye, Niall."I said, fighting back tears before running to our room -- his room -- and locking the door behind me, giving myself time to pack. What was that even about? We've never fought this past two and a half years.
