"cling-cling" the usual bell rings right when the clock struck midnight.

"heeyyy jiinnn!" a girlish shout could be heard across the convenient store right after the bell rings. and jin, who was arranging the cereal boxes was startled and dropped a few box of it. he then slapped his forehead and shook his head in disappointment.

"goshh how can you be cute even when dropping the box?!" chaesoo giggled and slap jin's back a few times. jin replied with a chuckle.

"you really not dropping those cheesy lines, huh?" jin eyed the girl who took her usual chocolate milk from the fridge.

"of course, they're my identity!" chaesoo winked towards him and walk toward the counter. "hey, i put the usual amount in the cashier box okay!" she shouted from the front as jin was still at the back, arranging the box that fell earlier.

"yeah, sure!"

chaesoo skipped happily while sipping on her chocolate milk towards jin again. "are you still gonna continue this?" she pouted and dragged her face closer to his.

"yaahh, let me finish this first then we can have a talk" jin pushed her face away which make her stumble a little.

"uh ohh sorry chae, i didn't mean it!" jin panicked seeing the situation and quickly come closer to her.

"are you okay?" he worriedly check her face, hand and all. chaesoo who was shocked at first then laughed hyterically. she slowly pushed jin away.

"you really panicked quickly!! i'm fine, just a little stumble okay? not that a car crashed me or something" she still continue her laugh even seeing jin started to frowned.

"i'm just being a gentleman okay. cut it off" shade of red was visible on seokjin's cheeks which make chaesoo soften a bit.

"well, looks like you're the one whose chasing me, huh?" from softie, she quickly changed her expression to a smug. jin just sigh and shooed her away.

"alright, i let you finish this first. i'll wait at our usual table okay?" she then skipped to the table in front and took her seat.

after a few minutes of arranging the box, jin came to the table. they exchange greetings for a few moments and talk about their life. suddenly, jin's stomach grumbled and the sound was heard clearly by both of them. he smiled sheepishly and suddenly remembered something.

"you remember your promise right? now go and make me some ramen pleaase! and the bills are on youu!" the boy grinned happily and rest his head on the table while chaesoo rolled her eyes and replied "yeah yeah, whatever"

while making the ramen, chaesoo was back-facing seokjin and he can guess that she really have tons of cute pajamas. today, she is wearing a red-checkered pajamas with her usual messy bun and bunny slippers. it's really a comfortable sight to see.

jin then sighed remembering that he still need to continue his night shift. while chaesoo can straight go to bed after this with that super comfy outfit.

"here you go" the girl shoved jin a cup of ramen. he thanked her and then, both of them were busy stuffing their stomach with the food.

"chaesoo," jin called her after they were about to finish their ramen.

"mmhhm?" she hummed as she was still busy munching down the ramen in her mouth. jin smiled genuinely and shook his head seeing her behaviour.

"i've wanted to ask this question from the very first time you entered this shop. i bet you can guess?"

"haaa, i know! you wanna ask me about my pjs right?" chaesoo cocked her eyebrows while smiling playfully.

"duh, who doesn't question seeing a weirdo wearing a pajamas to a convenient store, though?" jin scanned her appearance from head to toe with a judging look.

"whyy so judgemental?" chaesoo rolled her eyes for nth time that night. "well, before i answer, can i ask you a question first?"

"sure, but don't try to dodge from my question okay," jin squinted his eyes towards the girl and she just nods aggressively as usual. "okay deal"

"now, shoot"

"do you believe in ghosts?"

"w-what?"
