Sooner than later, Faraad made his way to my house and I was flustered. What the fuck was I really doing? I wanted to lash out, I had enough facts... But what if Tamika took it wrong? I couldn't think straight. I went straight to the point."Who the fuck is LaVon!?" I snapped.
"Excuse me?" He asked in a confused manner.
"Who is LaVon? Who is Ja'Netta?" I felt myself raging.
For a minute, he was silent. He must have been contemplating a lie.
"Sora, you called me over here for this? I don't know what you're talking about..."
"Oh you don't? So explain this." I pulled out my phone and began typing in Ja'Nettas social media, but she didn't pop up.
I tried spelling it every which way I could, but NOTHING popped up.
"What the fuck!?" I mumbled to myself.
"Was you drinkin' bae? Cuz you tripping." Faraad said as he walked closer to me laughing.
I felt like I was losing my mind. Was this some type of joke?
"No! I know what I saw!" Frustration over powered my body.
There was no way Faraad was about to get one up on me.
***********
My mini vacation ended, and it was time to go back to work. I enjoyed my two weeks off, but it was time to get back to the money.
I walked into my Law Firm where I worked as a receptionist. Everyone greeted me with Hello's and Good Morning's as they were happy to see that I was back.
"Good Morning Ms. Withers." My supervisor Mr. Chung said, greeting me with a smile.
"Good Morning." I smiled back.
Before I headed to the desk, I stopped by the bathroom to make sure my hair was in place and I looked good. There were three other women in the bathroom when I walked in. One of the girls was a lawyer. She had the phone on speaker as she fixed her hair in the mirror.
"Hassan, I told you I get off at 5 today... Are you coming to get me?" She said as she combed through her hair.
She was spanish-looking, long pretty burgundy colored hair, dimples, and light eyes. She was beautiful.
"I told you I'll be there..." I froze instantly.
I recognized that voice anywhere. For a minute, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. But I knew I was not buggin'. I quickly walked out the bathroom to the desk and anticipated 5p.m.
As the clock struck closer and closer, I saw the woman walking outside waiting. I told my co-worker I had to step out and take a phone call real quick, then I snuck out front.
As I sat from a distance, I watched as she paced back and forth, waiting for her ride. I was getting antsy myself, I felt that weird feeling in my stomach. Finally, a car pulled up but it wasn't Faraad's BMW. This was an all black Chevy Trail-Blazer, tinted completely out. She hesitated for a moment before getting in the car. The driver's side door opened, and of course, out walked Faraad going to open the door for her. My mouth dropped.
I felt myself beginning to get up and walk over there, but I didn't want to cause a scene at the work place. Instead, I took pictures of the car. He had me fucked up.
As soon as I got off of work, I sped home immediately and got down to business. I called Tamika to meet me so our investigation could begin.
"Girl what is going on!" She said kicking her shoes off at the door.
"Tamika, I don't know! I confronted him about the Ja'Netta and LaVon thing, he acted as if he didn't know what I was talking about. But when I tried to search her, I couldn't find her... Now I'm looking crazy. Then today at work, this Lawyer I work with is in the bathroom doing her hair and she's on the phone with it on speaker. The dude starts talking, bitch it was Faraad!!! I recognized the voice." I kept going as Tamika's jaw kept dropping lower and lower to the floor.
"I followed her outside, a truck came and got her. But I didn't think anything because Faraad drives a BMW. Bitch no, it was him getting out the car!" My anxiety was going up again.
"She called him Hassan. Like what the fuck!? Who is Hassan!?" I was done, hurt, and confused.
"Nah Sora. This is some weird shit. You need to find out what's going on and who the fuck you're dealing with!"
