I thank you for the lessons you've taught me.
I don't think I would be the women I am
Without them.
Your name no longer finds its way to my search
bar .
Your name no longer turns my stomach.
I no longer see myself with you.
I no longer find the urge to call & see how you are.
No longer does my heart yearn for your approval, or a sense of your liking.
I made the last time, the last time & I promise that there will not be a next.
You were the type to like to keep your foot in the door if all doesn't go right.
I guess maybe you thought somewhere along the lines, when you were done having your fun,
You'd probably make your way back.
Or just to have somebody always there.
I decided a long time ago that, that women wasn't gonna be me.
I wouldn't be the second choice
Or the downgrade.
I would be the one that walked away.
The one that learned the lesson & left.
The one that moved on & grew.
Moving on hasn't been the easiest
But it will all be worth it.
Goodnight with love,
