I-SPY: Safehouse Chapter 2
*Okay, so I'm so sorrrry that I haven't updated in a while. I'm going to try and make this long! ENJOY!*
*I was a baby, sleeping soundly in a crib. There was another baby beside me. Then the windows broke. I heard people yelling, someone grabbed me....*
"AHHHHHH!" I screamed, as I fell of my chair bruising my rear.
"Whoa, weird dream I haven't had them like that in a while" I thought.
I looked out the screen in front of me, 45 minutes until destination is reached it read. FINALLY! I was getting anxious and I think I had started to develop claustrophobia from being in a submarine for so long.
My stomach rumbled, maybe I should start looking for food I thought. I walked down the small-ish walkway and opened a cupboard. Every cookie, cracker and canned food you could ever imagine was in this cupboard. I pulled open another draw and strangely found warm pizza. After contemplating whether it was poison or not I grabbed two slices and a juice box and went back to my chair.
After finishing off the pizza and 5 cookies, I was stuffed and decided to explore more. As, I climbed off the chair I tripped and grabbed a latch on the wall. A wall in the submarine separated and a steel door appeared.
I grabbed my bag and walked through the door unsure of what was ahead. As I walked in I realized this was a big freakin' submarine. The room was made of steel, the walls a shiny silver chrome colour, there were easily 10 shelves covered in strange gadgets that I've never seen before.
This stuff might come in handy I thought as I walked by shelves grabbing whatever looked cool, like a fat kid in a bakery. I walked to the back of the room and found books, lots of them. I pulled one off the shelf and blew the dust off. The cover was old and ripped, and it weighed a ton. The title said "THE BOOK".
*destination reached* the computer beeped.
I grabbed the book and shoved it in my bag. I went to the other part of the submarine and sat in my chair. Slowly the submarine started to rise from the ocean depths, higher and higher it went closer to the surface. I looked out the screen to find myself in a lake, in a medium sized cave. Oh god, I thought please don't tell me I'm staying here. Then the top of the submarine twisted off.
"Alana Jacobs are you down there?" an English accent called.
"Yes" I whispered.
"Do you reckon I have the wrong sub, Shirley?" he said to someone with him.
I decided this would be a good time to show myself. I walked down the hallway and climbed to the top of the opening of the submarine. I looked out around the cave it wasn't very safe house like I had to admit. I hopped down the side and approached the two people with caution. The younger man has dark brown hair and was rather tall, the older woman was short and had red-ish curly hair.
"Excuse me, I'm Alana Jacobs and I came here from California. I was wondering if you knew where I'm supposed to go? " I asked wearily.
"Oh, good grief it is you! Come this way we'll lead you to the castle." He said.
"Isn't this cave the safe house? "I asked. They laughed and continued walking through a tunnel exiting the cave. We walked for 15 minutes in silence as the young man, talked to the older woman. They both had English accents so it was clear they were both born here in England.
We walked into the bright sunlight and that's when I saw the apparent safe house. It really was a castle, a tall majestic one with towers on every corner. It had a body of water around it so the cave was most likely located underneath it. There were lots of people my age milling around. As we were walking towards the entrance, I realized that people were looking at me and whispering. How could they possibly know anything about me? I thought. This is my first time here.
