Chapter Four: Execution

Four hours until the execution,I thought to myself as I entered my room with Blake following in tow."Right princess there is a lot to do in so little time so I suggest we start with choosing a dress.Blake motioned to the closet.I really didn't want to think about picking out dresses and getting ready all I really wanted to do was save Leonardo,even though I didn't like him anymore he was my still my sisters love so deep down I still cared a little.There was so many dresses to choose from.In the end we settled for the dress my mother had given me.Just as we finished picking out the dress a knock was heard at the door and a girl walked in quietly."Bella this is Keyanna,she will be helping you with your make up".It took Keyanna two hours to get my make up perfect,before I had to put my dress on and head out the door.My stomach growled loudly as we approached the square.We took our seats high on the podium my special spot was to the left of the Queen and standing beside me was Blake.In the middle of the square was a Leonardo with the noose already around his neck.Hundreds of people gathered at the castle to witness the death.Blake stood with his shoulders back looking proud and the Queen looked as though she was excited.The Queen rose making everyone go quiet."Today we will show Wibleton that we are not going to give in and they can not have out Princess"She began"Today the Princess will declare the death of this young man to show she is capable and strong enough to protect you".Shock suddenly hit a she spoke these words."Princess"She gestured at me to stand.My eyes locked with Leonardo's and I saw a tear fall down his face."Princess when you are ready"Alana smiled.I cleared my throat.Everyone started to chant,my world went hazy."I declare this young man to death,I stopped and looked at Blake,He gestured to continue"and hope that Everdale live with this tragedy forever"I managed to say with out bursting into tears.Queen Alana stood up she put her hands on my shoulders and pushed me away roughly.she raised her hand and gave the signal.The floor beneath Leonardo dropped and I knew he was gone forever."Ill deal with you later"Queen Alana said as she pushed past me.

I woke up suddenly and looked at the digital clock steering me in the face.Leonardo's face still vivid in my mind after his disturbing death.It was 12:52am and I decided I needed a drink of water.So quietly scurried out of bed to grab my lovely worm dressing gown and frog slippers.The hallway was surprisingly empty and to be honest a little creepy.I creeped down the hallway trying not to make a sound."Princess how lovely to see you at this late hour are you lost?"I whirled around instantly at the sound of Blake's voice."What are you doing up this late"I smirked "I shall be asking you the same thing"He gleamed"I umm was going to get a drink of water I couldn't sleep"he stepped closer the warmth of him being so near made my heart skip a beat"Then I will come with you"He motioned towards the kitchen."Umm ok"'

 "So what happened after the execution?"Blake asked intently

 Alana had a go at me she said I'm not fit to be a princess and that i have disgraced this kingdom"

"oh its that all?"

"Yea pretty much then she dismisted me"

I got my drink of water Blake walked with me back to my room.I smiled nervously at him."goodnight"we said simultaneously.He smiled at me.I opened the door to my room and snuck inside.It felt better to bed back under the warm blankets on my bed.Something about Blake made me feel better it made me feel safe.

The next morning was freezing and I did not want to get out of my cocoon.I lay in bed motionless wishing I had made a move on Blake while we were alone.A knocking disturbed me from my day dream.I manage to get up and open the door."Good morning Princess I hope you slept well"Quinn said as he came into the room rudely"Umm yea I did can I help you?"I questioned puzzled by the fact he just waltzed on into my room.I didn't want to tell him that I got hardly any sleep because Leonardo kept haunting me."I'm just here to make sure your up and dressed and by the look of things you are definitely not dressed"He crossed his arms."Quinn leave the Princess to me to handle"Blake said as he leaned on my bedroom door with the same domineer he always had."Quinn said nothing he just walked out of the room in the same rude way he had entered.Blake was amused at the reaction of Quinn.He came in a closed my door.I wasn't sure what was happening but my instincts told me to be a little afraid."Look you got to get out of here Bella"he said"

"what why?"

They are planning to kill your family,you have to warn them,Alana is not your mother".

My head spun,"Your joking right" my face fell pale."No im not you have to go now"I could tell he wasn't lying by the way he grabbed my arms.He lead me out to the back garden"climb over this wall,here I will help you"he held his hands out so I could clamber up.My fear grew stronger.I looked at Blake's terrified face"Come with me"I suddenly find myself saying.He looked at me wide eyed."I cant you must go without me"Blake glanced away.Tears struck my eyes but I held them in.Commotion started in the castle"go now he said.I stood statue still.Blake leaned over to me kissing me passionately and deeply the warmth of him covered up my fear."Go"he whispered.I clambered up the wall and fell into the soft grass on the other side.

My heart ached tremendously as I ran through the isolated woods.My mind was racing faster than ever after my first kiss with Blake.Did he actually love me?.Bella Kingston.I hadn't realized how far I had actually gone until I decided it was safe enough to stop running and take a break.It was only a short break though as I had to warn my family before it was to late.
