Alone

Chapter Five: Confused

I ran for about a day before finally collapsing of tiredness beside an old empty road.When I finally came to my senses a familiar face greeted me"Oh my god Bella,your alive"Krystal gasped.I tried to sit up but Krystal rested her hand on my chest"no Bella you need to rest".The world was hazy for about thirty seconds and my legs felt like they could drop off and run away without me.Suddenly I realized Krystal wasn't the only one in the room,a slightly tall and rather attractive guy stood in the doorway to my bedroom.His shimmering brown eyes looked a little sad and his lushes brown hair stuck to his face.That's when I noticed he had been bleeding and a small cut ran so close to his eye he could have almost lost it.Krystal must have noticed me gawking at him.Krystal smiled"Bella this is Loki if it wasn't for him you would be dead".Loki smiled a rather pleasant smile before walking over to stand beside my sister.A sudden thought flashed in my mind and my heart raced wildly."There coming"I struggled to say.'Whose coming?"Krystal asked a little confused."The Medallions"and as I said that horrible word I couldn't help but think what terrible things they my be doing to Blake.Loki looked worried"we must tell the Queen at once"he said almost instantly."Will you take care of my sister?"Krystal asked as she turned to Loki."Yea sure"he smiled at her kindly before she left the room.

"What happened to your eye?"my eyes filled with tears.It was half an hour later and my voice had finally made its presence.Loki looked at me with the same sad eyes I saw before."I found you lying by the road,I thought you were dead but then I saw you breathing"He stopped and took a long deep breath"Anyway"he continued"I was trying to get you in the car to get you to safety when they attacked"tears welled up in his eyes but I could tell he was trying to hold it together"one of them slashed my eye with a sword because I wouldn't hand you over"A knot formed in my stomach."I got you out,I don't know how but I did"he rested his hands on mine.His warmth made me feel better.There was something about him that made me feel safe or maybe it was just the fact someone was there.For once I didn't feel alone.

When I was finally able to move my body.I made a small visit to see my mother.Queen Claire to find out what was actually going on.She stood in the window painting as I entered."My angel you are alright"She said quietly."Whats going on"I trembled"You really want to know"she turned around slowly.I nodded my head and put my hands on my hips"you may want to take a seat my dear"Claire motioned towards the leather chair in the corner of the room.I was ready to find out the truth.

My mother spent over an hour explaining my whole life story to me,to be honest it was rather interesting and I now knew that Alana was my aunty trying to get revenge on my mother for always picking on her when she was younger.It sounded like myself and Krystal and I now knew that I must stay close with my sister.Alana was planning a war and we had to stop her.Should I say my mother as she ordered that Loki would be taking me far away so that I was safe.We estimated the time of war to begin in about three months time giving us little time to prepare.
