I didn't know what to say to them, though I'm sure 'thank you' is a good place to start it feels like it's not enough. Even now while I'm sitting in one of their very nice BMW's on the way to Mr. Blackbourne's I still have trouble with the fact that they actually came to get me. Not only that but the fact that even though they were only in my house for about an hour they saw and heard things I never wished anyone to see or hear. Thank you just doesn't seem enough.

We pulled into the drive and my time was running out to say something...anything as they unbuckled themselves and made to get out.

"Wait!" Shit shit shit fuck. They all stoped moving to look at me. "Uh... Thank you." Goddamnit

"I told you anytime Muffin." Sean smiled and they started for the doors again.

"No, wait really,  I um...I've been trying to think of something to say on the way here but all I kept thinking about was how thank you wasn't enough. I still don't know how to make it be enough because what you all did for me was. Well no one else would have done that, not for me. It's just...I only just met you all recently..some today even and I know I'm wasting a bunch of time and still only really coming up with thank you ...but..Thank you." I said twisting the bottom of my sweatshirt around my fingers, stairing at my lap. "God I sound stupid, hurry and get out of the car before I keep talking and.."

I flinched when a well kept hand landed on my leg. Mr. Blackbourne had turned around from the drivers seat. "Thank you works perfectly Mr. Welsh. Shall we all make our way inside now? We've just a few more introductions to make and then I think the young Mr. Taylor is making lunch." Mr. Blackbourne spoke and I couldn't help but shiver as I untangled my fingers from my sweatshirt before nodding my head.

The house was just as visually appealing inside as I found the outside to be. It felt home-y, warm, with cool undertones. It was perfect. Though amidst all the different colors that seemed to blend with the space seamlessly there was no pink. No room for any pink by the looks of it. No room for me.

The thought hit me hard, right in the chest. So much so I reach my hand up to rub at it.

"Zander?" I snapped my head up, opening my eyes at the sound of Luke's voice.

"Hey Luke." I sent him a tired smile before noticing the two guys I  haven't met yet. My legs shook a bit as I stepped further into the room with the arrest of the group. Despite social niecities I didn't wait to be asked if I wanted to take a seat. I just fell into the one I would have tripped over instead. Making the legs scrape against the hardwood.

"Muffin."

"I'm good..chest stings, but I'm good. Promise." I told Sean without looking at him as I looked the new duo infront of me.

"Gentleman shall we finish up here so Dr. Green can give Mr. Welsh a proper check up before lunch." I choked on my own spit at Mr. Blackbourne's words getting amused looks from all around.

"That's right muffin, we get to play doctor." Sean winked at me. My mouth fell open in shock at his tone and his wink.

"Though he tends to be rather unprofessional Sean is a very good doctor. At least we all trust him with our lives. I'm Dakota Lee, call me Kota, everyone else does. It's nice to meet you Zander, put a face to the guy everyone's been on about." Well if it isn't Mr. Blackbourne's understudy.

"Likewise." I said looking him up and down like I wanted to eat him. A throat cleared and my eyes connected with the last of them and my soul caught fire at the look in his eyes.
