I was walking through the market looking for the girls, when saw something out of the corner of my eye. Two kids, a boy and a girl, not that odd but they were holding hands. They were younger than me, but the same age as the twins. Then, I saw Abi going up to them, I followed a decent way behind... just for caution. When the girl saw Abi with her pinky-blonde hair tied into a long fish tail plait laying over her shoulder, she looked down at they're intertwined fingers and quickly released, the boy blushed raspberry pink. I walked further in they're direction, slowly at first then at a regular speed. "Oh, hey Hayden. This is Wilderness and Bear," she chirped, "They're not from round here."
She didn't have to tell me this, I could tell by the way the girl's ratty hair fell down her back and wasn't tied up. Plus she was pale, paler than us. The way the boy dressed... It was like, no most defiantly not from round here. City boy? I think not, another town close maybe, a big town? Yes, by the sea.
"Ah, are you from near Pastbry?"I questioned.
He was silent. Shy? Surely not! No, not shy, more... anti-social. No. This boy, he's complicated I thought. "Bear and Wilderness?" I pondered, "Not your birth names I expect."
The girl glared at me and the boy was trying not to show his intimidation. "Y-Yes, we're from Eabrenth, and I'm-"
"Do be quite Bear," Wilderness interrupted; obviously angered by how much personal information her friend had given away to this boy they had only just met.
"Sorry, I'm bringing too much on you, it's not every day I meet people as interesting as you two." Blush just a little.
"Oh Hayden!” Abi giggled, “Go find Wolfie and help her sell some of the rabbits. Please?" She shoved me in the direction that she had come from.
"Bye!" The boy blurted out as I turned away. I smiled over my shoulder and saw the blonde girl slap his arm.
I walked toward Wolfie, still trying to identify just what was so confusing about that 12 year old boy. My best friend - the older of the twins - had been staring at our get together since before I had arrived. I tapped her shoulder; she jumped and readied her fist. But when she saw that it was just me she relaxed a bit more,I put my arm round her and we set off.
