Wilderness released my hand and I could feel my cheeks flush bright pink. The boy, who was obviously short for his age, was rather daunting. The way he knew so much about me and my perfect girlfriend, how he knew we came from near the sea and- Wait, the important thing is that I knew what he was thinking; stop it. STOP IT!
Sometimes my mind let's itself do as it wishes and kind of, well, connects with other minds. That's what happened then, Wilderness doesn't know, or at least I don't think so. She hit me as Hayden walked away, she does this alot. "We, um must dash!" Wilderness pulled me away from the market and into a small ally.
"What?" I breathed
"What were you doing out there numb skull?" She barked, "You know we're here on a mission!"
"Yes, but-"
"No buts!" She was almost screaming now.
"I know, but-" I objected.
"Shut up and do your job!" She was way too angry to fight with now, so I gave in and accepted it.
I have to do this. There's no other choice. But wait, maybe-
No, I couldn't do that, but I have too. IF I DON'T... I don't know what'll happen....
We wandered back out, "Wilderness?" I mumbled,
she jolted her head, "What?" she barked
"Can I have a kiss?"
She gave me a small kiss the ushered me on, back to the busy street.
