Each review will be its own chapter.
I will go easy on request lol.
I will look at the visuals (if provided or described);
The character traits;
The cohesiveness and overall logic of the character (in universe or in general);
Backstory or story they are in (depending on the length);
WILL highlight things I like about it and what could improve;
Etc.
If you don't care, feel free to skip this chapter, but it does contain some fairly pertinent and useful information for those new to me or terminology. Questions and changes are welcome here, so ask now or.... or just ask later, I guess.
The bottom bit is the most important bit, so please read that first!
Thank you.

I will provide a Key Terms Glossary for those newer to the system:
OC: stands for 'Original Character', for an original work, not a
FC: a 'Fan Character'. These terms are confused a lot. A Fan Character is for an existing work of fiction.
I don't personally mind the blurred line, but it can be addressed as an issue.
Mary Sue: the shameful name given to characters who are "too perfect". They have insane abilities, a tragic past, everyone loves them, the plot grinds to a holt to focus on them, they're the best at everything and have next to no bad traits! (Not all of these criteria need to be met to fall under the 'Mary Sue' archetype. For the full entomology of the term, there are a plethora of YouTube videos on the subject!).
OOC: stands for 'Out Of Character', if a character says or does something they would never have done outside the work of fan fiction, then they are OOC. This is here as some creators may have pairings with cannon characters or fan fictions that do this.
Alternately, if an OC or FC has an established personality then they do something not in-keeping with the logic of the character. (Reasons can justify this.)
Pairings/ships: when characters are put in a relationSHIP or PAIRed together, either their two original creations or an FC and a cannon character.
OP or Overpowered: a character that is too powerful, has too many abilities or cannot be defeated, things like immortality or invincibility are not counted under this trait as long as they make canonical sense or have valid reasoning. (This goes for most of the list. If you can justify it to me, it isn't necessarily OP.)
Heterochromia: the medical word for having two different coloured eyes, it is more common in creatures like cats, but can occur naturally for humans or by an eye transplant/laser eye surgery. (Yes, eye colour can change due to complications in laser eye surgery)
Cannon and 'canonical': the pre-established rules of a fictional world, including laws, logic and lore.
Head Cannon: a personal belief formed by restricted in universe information or as a preference in the story or characters.
Decent (personal definition when I use it): can vary from really good-Decent!, to hedging or being a synonym for 'passable'-I mean it's decent, but... (Its all about context!)
Hedging: (Eng Lang term) trying not to hurt feelings. NOT sarcasm.
E.g.: "Do you like my neon pink leggings?" "Uhhh... yeah, sure."
'In Universe': the pre-existing world made by the media (the show, the book, etc), normally paired with 'cannon'.
E.g.: this doesn't work in universe because it breaks the cannon.
AU: stands for 'Alternate Universe', a modified version of the original universe, normally to accommodate new rules or plots.
E.g.: an AU where '*this character* is older'. Or 'this is set * years in the future from...'
Self-Insert: a representation of the creator written into the universe of their choice. It can be done well, but sometimes it can be destructive to the story or character itself. Can be a Mary Sue (not always, they just normally go hand in hand).
Nonsensical: no real line of logic, silly, traits or story do not line up. Over-all, it can be a heavily detrimental flaw in a character or a huge complement for a silly troll or spoof character.
Troll and Spoof: a troll character is made deliberately to annoy people or be bad, playing off of tropes and bad character design- meant for comedy, much like a spoof. Similar, but a spoof is more of a lighthearted parody.
Re-work: doesn't mean: scrap it and start over, instead means: make key changes or move some information around to make it work better.
Archetype: dict: "A very typical example of a certain person or thing."
Bio: shorthand for 'biography', and list or compilation of information on a character.
Ad Hominem: (image is not mine) a personal attack on the creator instead of reviewing the character. \/

Things to remember:
My word is not law. I never claimed it was.
This is not meant to be offensive or abusive, so be nice in the comments and I will try my best too.
I do swear, I probably won't in this book, but just a warning.
I'm not the most gentle girl ever, I can be quite blunt.
I am honest and WILL call out faults that I can find. Feel free to call ME out if you think I misconstrued something or was overly harsh.
This is REQUEST BASED but I may include references to other peoples works where I have also left critiques, if this happens, then the chapter will be a written summery and PSA on the character archetype in general and a message to the creator. (BE NICE! I DO NOT condone harassment, if they react poorly or ask you to stop then just STOP.)
I do not accept responsibility for your actions, for the most part, please leave the criticisms to me.
I CAN and DO accept critique on my own characters, writing and art.
I will only full on roast if they want me to for fun, otherwise, no Ad Hominems or blatant insults.
I try to critique properly, so if I find a flaw, I will offer ways to fix it or ask rhetorical/actual questions to stir up new ideas or get answers were there were none visible.

RULES:
➕No joke characters unless you make it very clear that they are one.
➕No overly offensive characters, my young fans need to be protected. (Like sexual, scary or gory characters. HMU first in the private chat for that.)
➕Don't send me a request if you DON'T want any negative feedback.
If you want me to be gentle, as stated above, just ask.
➕Don't harass or spam in the comments. I don't have that much popularity, I'll probably see it eventually. (Once or twice is fine if your worried it didn't go through)

Thank you and I hope to see submissions soon!~
