It has been a month since she decided to take our relationship slow. Yes, she was the only one who decided because I didn't really want to take it slow but I had to agree because I was that kind of girlfriend, a whipped one. I didn't care though if I was, my feelings for Lauren were incredibly strong that I would do anything by now to make her mine.
Lauren deserves to be treated like a princess so I tried my best to make her feel special. I did few cliche things that a suitor would do this past month.
Flowers. I put flowers on her table every Wednesday apparently it was her favourite day because of the classic movie Mean Girls. She was such dork sometimes. Then put random cheesy stuff in the card like "These lilies are for you because I lily lily like you." Or "Roses are red violets are blue my favourite colour is green because of you." Yeah, I did that.
I also drop Lauren off to her house after work it was weird because I don't drive. The real scenario was Lauren just driving herself to her house with me just for me to see her home safe. The funny thing was before we get to Lauren's we're going to pass by my house so when she was already home because I dropped her off I'll take a cab back to my house. Lauren find this ridiculous but I insisted doing it because she was worth all the effort.
The latest thing we did was I took her to the movies. With a twist. Instead of taking her to the cinema at the Mall, I took her in my own movie theatre at my house, yes I have my own movie theatre at home, I was extra like that. We watch romantic and horror movies. Well basically I forced Lauren to watch romantic movie she told me she wasn't a fan. I picked a classic movie which was The Notebook one of my favourites. She tried to hide her tears at the end of the movie and when I asked her if she was crying she just said "Why would they make a movie like this? It's so fucking sad." She mumbled between sniffs, her nose was red and she was so cute and adorable seeing her in that state I seriously wanted to lean over and kiss her.
"Don't look at me like that." She said.
"Like what?" I asked smirking
"Like you wanted to kiss me." Lauren said smirking back. I knew she was just teasing me because we had this deal that we couldn't kiss each other while we were on this taking it slow, and that deal was fucking killing me right now. It was such a stupid deal that I stupidly agreed to because I was stupidly crazy about Lauren. I reached for her face and pull it closer to me, I caressed her lower lip with my thumb.
"Two more months." I said while staring at her lips absentmindedly.
"Two more months." Lauren repeated and I saw her lips turn to a smile.

I smiled at the text I sent to Lauren. I didn't say anything cheesy but just thinking that I was about to see her in any minute now made me so pumped up. I miss her today and I was really looking forward to seeing her.
"God, I miss you." I said smiling at my phone.
