chapter 10: 'I preferred chocolate'

Luke on the side.
London POV

Waking up to a badass headache, and not remembering anything is awful.
Unfortunately for me, I was experiencing that right now.
Standing up slowly, I tried recalling what happened yesterday.
But all I remember is going out with chuck and the girls and them pressuring me to drink.
Shit, I shouldn't have drank it, knowing me I probably said some stupid things. I rolled out of bed, and decided to have a quick shower.

Turning the shower on, I stepped inside, allowing the to water embrace me. My mind was racing with questions.
What if I said something to Shadow? What if Shadow saw Chuck? God, I'm dead.
Jumping out the shower, I quickly did my business and started towel drying my hair.
Holding my hair in one hand, I opened the door with the other, just to find Shadow in our room, smirking. Quickly averting my eyes elsewhere, I carried on drying my hair.

"Sleeping beauty has finally awoken." I heard him tease.

"What do you want, Shadow?" I grumbled. It was way too early, and I was way too hungover for his games.

I saw him smile

"I prefer chocolate." He smirked, stepping closer. Suddenly, memories from yesterday night flooded in my head.

Quickly composing myself, I decided to pretend like I don't know what he was talking about.

"What?"

"Don't you remember?" He asked, his ego shrunk.

"The only thing I remember is dancing with Chuck then. . ." I tapped my chin, adding on to the effect.

"Then?" He said, in a low yet menacingly way.
He took a step forward, causing me to take one back and to drop my towel.
This carried on until I was against the wall. He gripped my shoulder, causing shiver to run along my back. I felt a few drops of water run down my shoulder onto Shadow's hand.

"Why didn't you tell me, you were going out with Chuck?!' His grip tightened, causing me to wince.
"Did you two do anything?" He asked lowly.

"Why do you care?!" I put my defenses up, what type of girl does he think I am?

"Because I'm your husband." He snapped back.

"So why should I tell you? It's not like I actually like you." I mumbled, I didn't feel like arguing.

Unexpectedly he started laughing, like I was the most funniest person on this planet.

"That's not what you said yesterday." He winked.

I couldn't help but blush. Damn it, stupid hormones. Now it's obvious I remember everything.

"London, did you and Chuck do anything?" He pushed.
It was pissing me off, how much he doesn't trust me. I couldn't help but clench my fist.

"No!" I shouted.
Pushing past him and started making my way to the kitchen.

Just as I reached the last step, the doorbell went off. I walked towards the door, and opened it, to find Luke standing there.
I couldn't help but gasp in shock then pull him into a hug.

"I missed you so much." He whispered into my hair.

"I missed you too." I whispered back.

"Where's the others?" I asked, pulling back.

"Sorry, they couldn't make it. Gang stuff, but I decided to drop by." He said, smilling.

I heard someone walking downstairs.
I looked at Luke to see him clench his fist.
Guessing its Shadow, I turned around and saw him look at Luke then walk off to the kitchen, well that was nice.

"London?" Luke called.

"Yeah?" I looked at him, to see his eyes narrowed on my arm.

"Did Shadow do that to you?" He pointed at my arms. I looked at them to see hand prints on both shoulder, it was purple and was bruising up really quickly.

"Uh, no I, uh fell. . ." I lied, avoiding eye contact.

"Bullshit!" Luke shouted before shoving me to the side gently. Then storming off to the kitchen, I quickly ran after him but it was too late, Luke had tackled Shadow to the floor, taking him by surprise.

"LUKE!" I shouted.

I ran towards them and attempted to pulling Luke off.
Luke quickly shoved me, gently.
Shadow took that to his advantage and pushed Luke off him.
"I let you marry her, not to abuse her, to pay back a debt!"
Standing up quickly, he stormed towards Luke and lifted him up, like he weighed nothing.
He held him against the wall by his neck, causing Luke to scratch at his hands.
My blood pressure was actually rising. I ran towards Shadow and started pulling at his hand.

"LET HIM GO!" He just carried on

"PLEASE SHADOW!" I pleaded. He wasn't listening to me at all, I needed to get his attention, in some way.

"LOOK AT HIM, HIS LOSING OXYGEN, HE COULD DIE!" He still didn't move, I felt tears roll down my face, so I did the first thing that came to my head.

I quickly grabbed his face and smashed my lips onto his.

Yes, I, London Pierce was kissing Shadow Winters and it was fucking amazing.

He first froze in shock then after a couple of seconds he recovered.
Letting go off my brother, he wrapped his arms around my hips and pushed me against the wall,Quite roughly. Suddenly he broke the kiss and turned around.

"Get out, before I kill you." He warned.

Luke looked at me if it was alright, I nodded. He then jogged out.

Using all my strength I pushed him back.

"What the hell London?!" He shouted, with a shocked expression on his face.
I quickly ran upstairs, as I was about to enter our room, I bumped into someone.
Looking up, I met gorgeous ocean blue eyes.
I quickly recognized them as Carter's.

"Are you okay?" He asked, wiping the tear.

"No. . .I don't know. . ." I muttered.
Opening his arms, he enveloped me into a hug.

We stayed like that for a few seconds. Unexpectedly I heard Shadow's voice.

"London can I speak to you?" He asked.

"No." I snapped.
He gave me a pleading look

"Fine." I groaned before walking with him to our room, he quickly closed the door.

"Are you and Carter a thing?" He quickly asked, Wow, no apology?

"No! We're just friends for fuck sake." I huffed.

Slowly yet in a scary way, he took a step towards me, whilst I took one back until he sandwiched me against the wall.

"London, remember you're mine, remember what I told you at the party" He said.

"I'm not anyone's, I don't belong to you. I can do whatever I want."

The next thing Shadow did surprised me.
