"Nellie I think you're scaring Natalie," Shirley said.
"She's not!" I yelled, "I just see people too sometimes."
Nellie was telling us about the bent neck lady and it was scaring me. It reminded me of her. Her is the person I see. She walks like a crab and her eyes are red.
"You do? I knew I wasn't the only one who saw people!" Nellie yelled. I nodded and stopped listening to her as she went on and on about the bent neck lady."
In the corner there she was. Although she looked different and I was scared I wouldn't admit that in front of Ari. I picked up Ari and brought her to the other room.
"Ari don't look at her. I need you to promise me that you won't look at her again. If you see her look away ok?" I told Ari as put her down.
She nodded and asked, "Can we go back to the hotel?" I nodded and went to tell Shirley and Theo where we were going.
I sat up in my bed. I had just woken up from a nightmare and my neck hurt. It took me a bit to realize where I was but when I did I jumped out of bed and turned on the light. Then I heard my phone go off. It was from Nell.
Nell: I broke our promise
"Nellie do you think mommy will come back for us?" I asked. We had been living at Aunt Janet's house for quite a bit of time now. Nell nodded. "What if she takes us back to the house?" I asked.
"She won't Natalie let's make a promise to never go back there okay?"
"Ok I promise."
"Pinky promise?"
"Yes"
