Second book of the unlikely love series
Carter, Yvonne and Mykah are seniors at their high school trying to live life without the friendship and love of the now deceased Mason. With Carter still struggling to find happiness and just about ready to g...
Having a breather from the town of bullies and conceputilized adults was refreshing. Looking at the life that lay below made me feel as if I could control it, as if I could take control of what I wanted. Mason, who was next to me never took his eyes off the birds flying around. We sat there until the sun began to set and didn't stop until I got a phone call.
"Hello, Carter is that you?"
"Yes, who is this?"
"Its Chloe anyway you need to come to the school right away."
"Why?"
"Adrian is spilling every secret any of you have ever had."
Chloe hung up
"Guys we have to go, Adrian is going to ruin our lives."
"Yeah I see that, he's live streaming it."
I looked at blaines phone with complete and utter rage.
"Ok that's it I'm done with him, he's done his last deed."
Everyone followed close behind me as I got into the car. I ordered for Mason drive and he did with no hesitation. I watched as Adrian spilled every secret to everyone.
"Little ole' yvonne she can't talk to her crushes because she's afraid to see her pit stains...."
Though it isn't bad, in high school that can ruin someone.
"What are you going to do?"
"I'm going to stop adrian. He can't just triumph over the world."
"But if you do this your no better than him."
"There is a difference between revenge and stupidity, its a thin line but he's been on both of those lines way to long."
Mason eventually shut up and drove home. I on the other hand made some phone calls on what's happening. Apparently Adrian has ran out plans to ruin my life so he actually broke into my locker and plans to auction our stuff off as embarrassment black mail. He plans to read every embarrassing letter and burn Masons letterman jacket, the one he left behind when he disappeared. I sat with my eyes darted and my arms crossed till we got home.
"Ok we're home."
Mason stayed silent as I went into the house.
"What do you plan on doing from home?" Yvonne asked me keeping her distance.
"Nothing I've tried it with the pink hair now its time to get rid of it and talk to him as if I'm a higher being."
I ran into the house and locked my bedroom door. I quickly ran into the bathroom and stripped down before getting this hair dye remover. I put in and got in the shower. I watched as pink water fell to the tub floor, washing into the drain. The color as it fell seemed like it was the shedding of skin I felt new. The house was silent but I knew that the others were freaking out. Someone had broken into the house and taken all the love letters I wrote all the pictures I drew, everything from my private life. Doesn't help that we never lock the door. I can't keep doing this graduation is soon and I'm still dealing with Adrian how could this happen, all I wanted was a normal life. That just comes to show that leading a normal life is harder than it looks. I changed my hair to get back at Adrian. I even got contacts after he beat me. I went through my years of school afraid to be who I am. I finished letting the die run out and dried my hair. I look in the mirror and make a big smile. I missed my dirty red colored hair.

For the first time in a long time I felt like myself. But enough of that Adrian is not going to expose everything. I ran into my room to see everyone waiting for instructions luckily I put my other clothes back on.
"Carter what's happening?"
"Well Adrian isn't going to expose us, we will expose ourselves."
"What we are trying to stop it not make it worse."
"Guys, for years I've been telling you and everyone else to be yourselves don't hide who you are and what makes you different, Adrian actually is doing what I've been saying. We have to show people that we can not be walked on and we can not be the losers he says we are."
"How do we expect to do this?"
"We will use the cam. Corder. We will plug the camera into the projectors circuits."
The group really didn't know what to do so they went along with it.
"By the way I like your hair better with its natural color."
I smiled before grabbing the camera and telling everyone to get into the car. This is our last chance to make amends with any and everything we've done wrong.
We get in the car and Mason zooms out of the drive way.
"Yvonne the main circuit for the projector in the gym is actually in two rooms but the one we need is in the janitors closet."
Yvonne answered and everyone else was silent. This was our last chance at a happy life, or at least a happy graduation. Its time for us to get what we want in life.
Mason pulled up into a parking space and shut off the car. Everyone took a deep breath. This could make or break everything they worked for.
"You guys ready?" I say knowing that not even I was ready for this.
"Yes." Everyone said at the same time.
We all Hopped out of the car and began running into the school. we could feel the mockery invade our minds and souls. we could feel our reputations flush away. we could feel the end of a war long over due. we continued running hearing the whispers of laughter from the gym. we ran, to save our selves. we ran, for Adrian. we ran, to give everyone a voice. we reached the doors and flung them open. The warm air washed away all worries and doubts we were in it. we were there to win.
