The central hall leading to the ballroom was alive with nobles, staff and basically all walks of life all trying to get where they were going. My friends and I walked to the main ballroom where we could hear some man announcing the names of the guests that were arriving. Max was the first one to arrive. She acted sassy as always and her date was one of our old friends. His name was Grayson. Next followed behind her was Dylan with his date Adam. Adam is one of my newer friends who I met a couple of weeks ago on one of my recon missions. Next was Stormi and her date Jordan. He seems really nice,I wouldn't really know I've never really talked to him.
The faint smell of cologne startled me as I look over to my right. Garret was walking towards me. He was wearing a 2 piece suit with light blue stripes. His hair was fluffed up a bit in the front and combed in his normal way.
"Hey Abby"He spoke"You look... Beautiful."
"Th-thank you..Umm....You look really Handsome" I could feel a light pink creep up onto my face.From behind him I could see Max making kissy faces while Stormi rolled her eyes.
"Oh yeah I almost forgot."Garrett Implied"I got you this for you."
He held out his hand. On the palm of his hand singular bud of Lilac flowers.
"May I?"He asked.
I nodded. I turned my head so he could put the flowers in my hair, and also so I could hide the massive blush that was creeping onto my cheeks.
"There you go,"He spoke"Shall we ma'Lady?"He put out his hand.I hesitated for a second but then I wrapped my arm around his.
"We shall my good sir"
The ballroom was beautiful, Their was blue carpet layed out over the grand staircase resembleing a waterfall. Chandeliers were hung over the dancefloor. Garrett and I walked out onto the platform were the stairs come off of. Max, Stormi, Olivia,Dylan, And all of their dates were behind me.
I sighed "Here we go".
