Chapter 3
The sun was shining brightly today with a bright blue sky and decent amount of clouds. The temperature was perfect to go on a walk and relax, a crazy aftermath of the harsh storm the night before. The sound of a sink turning off could be heard from the bathroom as the door opened and Aka-hoshi walked out. Aka-hoshi had on a casual all black thin pull-over hoodie and a black pair of pants, his usual clothes. However, he seemed to have washed his face in attempt to look good.
"Aka-san! Are you headed somewhere?" Aoi-hoshi asked as he noticed him walk out the bathroom. "Indeed. I have been asked by Kyuseishu-sama to accompany her while she is out shopping today." Aka-hoshi replied as he began walking to the front door. Aoi-hoshi smirked and chuckled watching him walk pass him and to the door. "I see. Well, have a good time and try not to return late." Aoi-hoshi ordered him. "Yes sir." Aka-hoshi said while opening the door and stepping outside, shutting the door behind him. He looked down at his watch and saw that it was 12:25pm, he had about 35 minutes to meet Kyuseishu at the town square. Aka-hoshi wasn't the type to waste time, and with him being fast on his feet, he quickly dashed to the town square and patiently waited for Kyuseishu to arrive. 30 minutes went by and from a distance, someone called out "Aka-san!". He looked over to his left and saw Kyuseishu waving to him while walking towards him. He instantly noticed the beautiful sun dress that she was wearing and just watched her with a slightly blank facial expression. "Hello, Aka-san. I hope I didn't make you wait long. You look nice today." She smiled at him as she reached him. Aka-hoshi bowed his head "Kyu-sama, it is a pleasure to be your guard today. You did not make me wait long at all." He said to her, still bowing down. "Raise your head, Aka-san. You are not really on work today, you can take it easy. I kind of lied to make sure you'd come. But who am I kidding? You'd come either way." She said, putting her hands on his head again, picking it up. "I see..I apologize then, ma'am." He said to her, looking slightly to the left, a bit confused. She giggled at his actions, still smiling. "Aren't you forgetting something?" She said jokingly, with a smug look on her face. "Uhm...not that I can think of...Am I missing something?" Aka-hoshi said, being as oblivious as usual. She laughed gently at how inexperienced and uneducated he is with this kind of stuff. "No, I was just messing with you. You're not missing anything. Now then, shall we get going?" She asked and looked up into his eyes. "Yes ma'am, lead the way." He replied, looking back at her. She nodded with a smile and grabbed his hand and began slightly pulling him forward as she started walking. Aka-hoshi looked down at their hands and blushed very slightly. This was the first time someone's ever held his hand like this before, he didn't know how to react, he just walked with her."Over here! Let's stop right here! There's some stuff I wanna pick out in here." Kyuseishu shouted out to Aka-hoshi as she got excited pointing at a store. "Yes ma'am, lead the way." Aka-hoshi replied, immediately being dragged to the store by Kyuseishu. They both walked into the store and Aka-hoshi was fast to notice how feminine the store was. "Aka-san, I'm going to try on a few pairs of clothes and I want you to tell me how they look. Can you do that?" Kyuseishu said while looking up at him. "Y-yes, I can. Pick out some clothes, Kyu-sama." Aka-hoshi answered her and looked away. She giggled and walked away to pick out some clothes. Aka-hoshi noticed a bench in the store and walked over to it to take a seat. He waited patiently for her to finish when she said his name from around the corner of the dressing room. He stood up and walked over to her when she hopped out from around the corner and twirled in a beautiful purple dress. "How does it look?" She asked him while smiling. Aka-hoshi looked at her and the dress, quickly pointing out how it goes perfect with her eyes, he was stunned. "It looks great, Kyu-sama. It really brings out your eyes, in my opinion." He said, admiring it. She smiled and thanked him, clearly very happy. About 20 minutes passed, she finished trying on all of her clothes and decided to buy only two outfits. Kyuseishu brought him to a series of stores afterwards, and the sun began to set after a while. The two were walking down the calm town road, the street lights were on and the moon and stars were lighting up the beautiful night sky. "Shall we get something to eat?" Kyuseishu asked Aka-hoshi, hearing his stomach growl. "Yes please. I know a place that I have been craving all day, I am sure you will like it, Kyu-sama." He replied and his eyes slightly sparkled, Aka-hoshi really enjoyed food.
They arrived at the restaurant and were seated at a two-person table. The restaurant sat on top of a mountain, showing a beautiful view of the whole Empire, it was the perfect spot. The two already ordered their food and were now waiting. "Wow, Aka-san. I'm impressed, this view is amazing. How'd you find this place?" Kyuseishu asked him, admiring the view of the Empire. "Aoi-hoshi-san showed me.." He answered, impatiently waiting for his food to arrive. "Well, it's beautiful. Thank you for showing me this, and for today...I've had a lot of fun." She said and looked back at his face, gently giggling. Aka-hoshi just nodded his head. Their food arrived and Aka-hoshi was quick to begin stuffing his face, he was already drooling over the picture of the food. The two of them finished their food when suddenly, a loud bang could be heard from all the way across the Empire and smoke could be seen at the Empire Gates. "What the-" Kyuseishu said and then looked over at Aka-hoshi only to realize he wasn't there.
