The Raid

Chapter 4

Their food arrived and Aka-hoshi was quick to begin stuffing his face, he was already drooling over the picture of the food. The two of them finished their food when suddenly, a loud bang could be heard from all the way across the Empire and smoke could be seen at the Empire Gates. "What the-" Kyuseishu said and then looked over at Aka-hoshi only to realize he was gone.

Explosions were going off all over the front of the Empire gate and the towns people were all rushing to get away, screaming, panicking. Aka-hoshi was rushing through the town as fast as possible, already in his assassin uniform, prepared. As he was running, he noticed an enemy plane that flew past them, dropping bombs onto the front gate. Aka-hoshi grew worried and began running even faster. Once he arrived, there was fire everywhere. High-leveled guards and Aoi-hoshi were already there, holding them off, but clearly struggling a bit. The enemy consisted of bandits, goblins, werewolves, and rouge elves. "RRRRRRAHHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Aoi-hoshi screamed, pushing an enemy back, stunning it as he the sliced it in half, causing blood to splash on him. "Aoi-san, are you okay?" Aka-hoshi said as he jumped down besides him, landing on a bandit that was about to sneak attack him, causing its neck to snap. "Aka-san! Good, you're here! We really needed you! Help us fend off the enemy!!!" Aoi-hoshi shouted as he charged at another enemy, engaging in a sword fight. Aka-hoshi didn't waste any time and dashed at a group of 5 enemies,  slicing each of their necks within a second. "Eliminated." He said to himself as he quickly moved on to the next enemy. The enemy plane appeared once again and flew by, shooting the machine guns on the plane, killing a few guards. "That damn plane!" Aoi-hoshi screamed as he stabbed the enemy he was fight through the heart. Aka-hoshi noticed a large goblin which was known as a "Goblin Warrior". He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, focusing his mind and calming it. He opened his eyes and his face looked serious. Without hesitation, he used his skill known as "Vorpal Strike" and quickly zoomed past surrounding enemies, slicing each ones' head off and stopped in front of the Goblin Warrior. He looked up at the Goblin Warrior, Aka-hoshi's eyes glowing a bright red. The Goblin Warrior laughed and raised It's large mace and quickly slammed it down on top of Aka-hoshi. The Goblin Warrior raised the mace again to check if he killed Aka-hoshi when he realized that he wasn't there. Aka-hoshi swiftly dodged the mace and was behind him. He swung his Murasame at the Goblin Warrior's calf, only to realize it's skin was like metal. Due to the force of his swing, Aka-hoshi flew back a bit. "Tch..." He grunted a bit and quickly jumped up on the Goblin Warrior's right shoulder. The Goblin Warrior noticed him and tried to fling him off with his left hand. Aka-hoshi dodged it without problem and jumped back down to the floor. "It's reaction speed is fast..." Aka-hoshi thought to himself, then heard Aoi-hoshi scream out "I'm on my way Aka-san, watch out!" Aka-hoshi nodded and ran circles around the Goblin Warrior while he waited for Aoi-hoshi to arrive. Aoi-hoshi arrived and stopped Aka-hoshi. "Shall we do this?" Aoi-hoshi asked Aka-hoshi and grinned. Aka-hoshi nodded and grabbed Aoi-hoshi's arm. Aoi-hoshi began glowing bright blue, and Aka-hoshi bright red. Aka-hoshi had a bright red aura around him and Aoi-hoshi had a bright blue one around him. While this was happening, the Goblin Warrior lost interest in the two and began fighting other guards. Aka-hoshi let go of Aoi-hoshi's arm and they both charged the Goblin Warrior right after it killed about 20 guards with a swing of a mace, not expecting the two. They shot through the Warrior's chest like two bullets. Blood shot out both of the holes and the Goblin Warrior fell to the floor, dead. Guards cheered, but were too fast to celebrate as the enemy plane returned again, blowing the cheering guards up. Aka-hoshi looked at the plane and charge towards it, jumping onto the wing. "You're mine." He said in a calm voice.
