It was Sunday and his Electronic Store was closed Jack Hansel is just about finished building the machine that he thinks his 6 year old daughter came up with. The 10' x .5" equally spaced disks are just an inch apart from each other. Piezoelectric motors between each disk are the driving force of the step up rpm system. To put it in better perspective each motor is fixed on the top of the disk and the arbor of each motor is mounted to the bottom of disk above it. Each motor propels the disk above it. Only the lower most motor is mounted to a fixed base. The top disk doesn't have a motor mounted to the top of it. The motors are powered by energy cells embedded in the disks.

On this particular day Jack was working on the vortex bridge project and he touches the top disk with a tuning fork. The surface of the 10 foot disk begins to vibrate and produce a load sonic noise. It sounded like a alien spaceship was over the neighborhood. Jack imagined that the neighbors were just about freaking out! He laughed hysterically at the thought. As the disk spun and vibrated from being struck by the tuning fork the top disk started changing colors then the next below turned colors, then the one after that. Eventually, all the spinning disks turn colors in a distinct pattern. Jack thought that, "hmm that's interesting". Then Jack grabbed another tuning fork out of his set and touched the spinning disks again. The disk began to each flash different colors as they resonated.

Things in his shop began to float. Jack looked around in amazement. He was feeling light as a feather. Then jack touched the handles of the tuning forks on the top disk. Suddenly, there was bright flashes of light coming from outside the shop. Jack's looked out the window and he saw his house changed before his very eyes. The tan aluminum siding on his house suddenly became an old brownish fiber looking stuff. Jack ran outside and into the driveway of his house. Under his feet his concrete driveway was now gravel and the tree in his front yard had disappeared. The tuning fork he had in his hand was replaced with something that looked like an old flip style cell phone. He opened it up and there in the display was the date and time. Jack looked at his watch. It wasn't the same watch that he had before. Both the device he had in his hand and his watch displayed the date 9 03 2000". The time was almost the same. The device displayed 3:05 PM and his watch displayed 3:15 P.

Jack's white Toyota truck with a commercial box on the back was gone from the driveway. That is when he just about freaked out because he had highly specialized tools & computer equipment were in that truck! Next he checked his pockets and I found a set of keys. One key had GMC on it, 2 were Kwikset & one was a Schlage key. He had a wallet too, with a bunch of calling cards, a credit card and a driver's licence. The name and address on the driver's licence were different than what it was before. He felt his head with his hand. It felt to him like his brain was moving around inside his head and the sounds around him were different somehow.

While still standing on the side of the house in the middle of the driveway Jack saw a couple of young female police officers go to his front door and one of them pressed the doorbell button. Jack didn't say a word and the officers never looked in his direction. Suddenly, someone he never saw before opened the door and after a brief conversation the police officers went inside the house. Jack's heart was beating hard and fast as he kept going over everything that just happened for several minutes.
