When I got up the next day something didn't seem right. The house was too quiet. I got up and went downstairs and saw my dad with a book in his and my mom sitting next to him.
"What is this"
"This is a magic book from my brother I kept it in the attic just in case something like this happened," My dad said without looking at me.
"Wait you had a book and didn't use it this whole time dad its been months,"
I said getting angry.
"Well it didn't seem useful and its really old so I thought I wouldn't help but there are some interesting things in here."
"What does it say?"
"It says there's a way to permanently keep your powers steady without you losing control but it will take some time. We have to get someone who knows this kind of magic and they can teach you and help you understand what your magic is. And they can give you some special drink that you have to take and it will help. The problem is where do I find someone like this and do they even exist anymore," my dad said without looking up from the book.
"Well were screwed there's no one out there that can help me great. Is there anything else."
"No it just lists the magic abilities you have and what it does and how strong it is."
"Ugh my life is over."
"No its not we have to figure it out. Your mom is taking you to the store with her and I have to go to work so I'll read this later."
I got up and left and sat in my room processing this whole thing. What has my life become?

After a couple of days of digging we actually found someone who knows my magic and we invited them over. We were kind of thinking this was just some dude thinking he knows magic and is going to talk about Harry Potter or something . But we had to wait.
When he came over he had all these different books and what looked like that drink I would have to take. It looked like blood. My parents stood by and watched as we talked
"So you have magic powers."
" Yes," I said nervously.
"Would you like to show them to me my name is Kent by the way."
"Sure and my name is Chris."
So he watched as my magic swirled around me and my eyes changed he looked impressed as he focused on what I was doing.
"Your eyes are very peculiar looking but I like them. Your magic is very strong and it runs deep in you."
"Do you think you can help me before it goes out of hand."
"Yes I can I have the same powers as you and I was able to control them and make sure they didn't ruin me."
He then showed me his powers they were exactly the same but his eyes were a blue color while his pupil was red. He taught me how to control my hands when my magic just wants to come out. He also taught me how pick up objects and turn my magic into objects. He warned me to he careful with my magic it is very powerful and can kill people. Its best not to play with it around people unless I know what I'm doing and I can't just bring it out in public.
My parents watches in awe as I was learning all of the tricks. My father told Kent about his brother and how his magic killed him basically. Kent told him his magic was to powerful for his body and he wasn't taking care of it properly and wasn't being careful which caused it too get worse faster. Kent reassured my dad that killing him wasn't my dads fault he had too because he was a danger to the world. Kent was happy that I was being careful and got the help I needed. Next time I was going to go to his building so we can practice more and he was going to see how strong I actually was.
"I'm so glad we found someone who knows what there doing and we didn't have to go through a bunch of people," my mom said smiling.
"Me too this is actually exciting I feel like a superhero in training," I said sounding like a kid.
"Well I guess it does feel like that but remember to be careful you have a long way before you can even be able to use your powers properly."
"I know but this exciting."
"Dad if you had that book why didn't you use it for your brother?"
"By the time I got the book he was too far advanced and I couldn't find anyone it was no use so I gave up."
"Dang if only you found the book earlier."
"Yeah only if..." My dad said blankly.

I felt like having magic wasn't so bad after all but if only I knew what was about to come.
