My Angel (Daryl Dixon x OC)

(1) Off to Atlanta

[Hello, welcome to my first Wattpad story, I'm quite new to writing fanfictions so please be patient with me 😅 this is a Daryl Dixon/OC story. I have read a couple of stories revolving around oc stories with Daryl and I found that they make the oc a bit boring so I'm making Lily a bit more badass, you'll meet her in the next chapter, stay tuned....]

Daryl's POV

"Son of a bitch." I shouted "That's my deer. Look at it. All gnawed on by this...filthy, disease-bearing, motherless poxy bastard." I snapped whilst kicking the walker angrily.

"Calm down, son. That's not helping." Dale said

"What do you know about it, old man? Why don't you take that hat and go back to "on golden pond"?" I snapped and got up in his face. "I've been tracking this deer for miles. Gonna drag it back to camp, cook us up some venison. What do you think? Do you think we can cut around this chewed up part right here?" I asked as I pulled my arrows from the dead deer.

"I wouldn't risk that." Shane said shaking his head. I sighed then lifted my head at a source of groaning from the walker that was starting to move.

"Come on people. What the hell?" I snapped before launching an arrow in the walker's head. "It's gotta be the brain. Don't y'all know nothing?" I asked taking the arrow from its head and made my way back to camp.

"Merle! Merle! Get your ugly ass out here, I got us some squirrel! Let's stew em' up." I yelled for my brother.

"Daryl, just slow up a bit. I need to talk to you." Shane called out. I stopped and looked over at him.

"About what?"

"About Merle. There was... There was a problem in Atlanta." Shane started.

"He dead?" I asked.

"We're not sure." Shane replied.

"He either is or he ain't!" I yelled.

"No easy way to say this, so I'll just say it." I turned my head to see some bloke in a cop attire.

"Who are you?" I asked angrily.

"Rick Grimes." Rick replied.

"Rick Grimes, you got something you want to tell me?" I snapped at this 'Rick'.

"Your brother was a danger to us all, so I handcuffed him on a roof, hooked him to a piece of metal. He's still there." Rick explained. I looked away, wiping the few tears that were threatening to fall.

"Hold on. Let me process this. You're saying you handcuffed my brother to a roof and you left him there!" I shouted, getting more angry by the minute.

"Yeah." Rick sighed. My face twisted into anger as I threw the squirrels at him before lunging at him, only to then be tackled by the floor by Shane.

"You'd best let me go!" I shouted

"Nah, I think it's better if I don't." Shane replied.

"Choke holding's illegal." I snapped back.

"You can file a complaint. Come on, man. We'll keep this up all day." Shane said as I struggled against his grip.

"I'd like to have a calm discussion on this topic. Do you think we can manage that?" Rick asked as he bent down to meet my eyes. "Do you think we can manage that?" Rick repeated before he nodded to Shane to let me go.

"What I did was not on a whim. Your brother does not work and play well with others." Rick snapped.

"It's not Rick's fault. I had the key, I dropped it." T-Dog piped in.

"You couldn't pick it up?" I snarled back at T-Dog.

"Well, I dropped it down a drain." T-Dog said. I sighed and hung my head.

"If it's supposed to make me feel better, it don't." I snapped, throwing a stone across the ground.

"Well, maybe this will. Look, I chained the door up to the roof with a padlock...so the geeks couldn't get to him." T-Dog explained making me drop my head down.

"It's gotta count for something." Rick said, raising his eyebrows. Tears fill my eyes but I quickly wipe them away.

"Hell with all y'all! Just tell me where he is so I can't go get him." I sighed

"He'll show you. Isn't that right?" Lori asked, looking up to Rick.

"I'm going back." Rick agreed. I just glared before walking over to my truck and sitting in the drivers seat, thinking and hoping that Merle was okay...and alive.
