Chapter 2

Angels pov

***lunch time***

It was finally lunch . I walked in the cafeteria and got my food . My school served the best food ever . They served pizza , pies , chicken etc .
Not all the time but most of the time .

I went to sit at my table and saw my friends sitting there already . Our table was right next to Chads . You wanna know why ? It's because Melony has a crush on Chads best friend which is Tyler. She's been admiring him from afar for like..2 years now .

"Hey guys" I said and sat between Melony and Emily .

"Hey Angel" they all said at the same time

"I wish i could audition for Romeo" my friend Jackson said

"If you audition I would love to be your Juliet" Kate said .

Jackson and Kate have been dating since last year December. They'll be 2 months at the end of this month . Jackson is the funny one in our circle , he makes the most hilarious jokes . Kate is very out going and also works at the vet nearby the school . She adores animals .

"You two are so cute" Emily said and then Mason replied .

"Love birds" he said in a disgusted but funny tone .

They started making out and the rest of us went "Ewwwwwww!!" .

"Get a room" I said and stood up

"Where are you going?" Emily asked me

"Bathroom , I'll be back in a second" I said and walked to the bathroom .

When I came out of the bathroom Chad was standing right outside of the girls bathroom .

I didn't speak to him or anything . I ignored him and carried on walking

"Angel" he said and i stopped to look at him .

"What is it?" I replied

"What are you doing after school" he said

"Uhm...probably homework why?" I said looking at him weirdly

"Well..what are you doing after you finish your homework?" He asked completely ignoring the 'why' part .

I sighed , wishing he would get to the point "Nothing"

"I'll pick you up at 6 then" he said and walked away .

That was beyond weird . Does he even know my address ? Where is he taking me to ? Should I dress causal or formal or what ? I'm so confused

I was walking home from school . I lived 4 blocks away so I didn't have a problem with walking.

"Need a lift , baby girl" a famaliar voice said .

"No I'm good thanks" I said

"Thats not the answer I was hoping for but get in its about to rain" he said

...and it was true it was going to rain and i didn't want to wake up with a cold tomorrow morning so I got in .

I gave him directions to my house and he pulled in my driveway and got out . Please don't tell me he was gonna introduce himself to my parents .
"Whos at home" he said

"My mom , why" I said opening the door . He followed behind me and i shut the door

"Just asking" he said and looked around .

I walked to the kitchen where mom was making pancakes with chocolate syrup . My favourite.

"Afternoon mom" I said and took a seat on the chairs of the kitchen .

"Hey sweet-" she was cut off when she saw that I was with someone .

"And who's this young gentleman over here , Angel" she said with a smile on her face

"I'm Chad Grey." He said

"I'm Hilary Perils , Angels mother"

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs Perils"

"The pleasure is all mine" my mom said .

Well..this is weird . Can he go now . Jeez . Before this gets weirder .

"Are you two a couple" my mom said and i chocked on my spit . Literally .

Before I could answer Chad answered instead

"No Mrs Perils . She's a good friend and i gave her lift since it was about to rain"

'Good friend' what the hell is he speaking about . I barely knew him until we spoke today .

"Oh that's very kind of you Chad" my mom said handing me my pancakes and a glass of coke

My mom looked at her watch and said that she had to go . She owns a restaurant in 2nd avenue close by the mall . She said something about checking if her employees are not slacking off .

I noticed Chad staring at my plate . It looked as if he wanted to drool . "You want some" I said and he nodded .

I took out a plate and gave him one pancake and poured him a cup of coke as well.

"These are delicious" he said

"I know right my mom makes the best chocolate pancakes ever"

"I agree" he said .
