He told me, "your voice is beautiful"
but how am I to respond to that with no context?
He told me, "you make me happy"
and I responded in the same sense
Two different people, but only one choice
what if I make the wrong one?
He told me, "I love you"
but I don't know if I feel the same
He told me, "I think I might be in love with you"
and I know I'm falling for him
Two different people, I've made the wrong choice
but how do I let go without losing the other?
He told me, "I'll always be here"
but what if he lies?
He told me, "I promise"
and I knew he'd try
Two different people, and a choice gone awry
How could I possibly go without being sorry?
