THE IMAGES OF a dark haired man with dark eyes and eyeliner flashed in Danielle's mind as she still laid unconscious.

The man raised his hand in front of the ten year old Danielle, suddenly, a bright blue wave of light came from his hand.

"I'm sorry, little star," The warlock gave the little girl a sad smile before everything went black.

Danielle's eyes shot open and she sat up quickly in panic. Her eyes looked around the unfamiliar room, before she looked at the blue eyes staring at her hazel ones.

"I know you," Danielle said in a whispering tone, "I see you in my dreams sometimes."

Alec sighed and looked down at his hands before looking back up to the girl he look after for years.

"My name is Alec Lightwood," He said, "those were not dreams."

Danielle looked at him in confusion, "what do you mean?"

"Ever since you were fifteen, I've looked after you, I had this feeling you were special and that you needed to be protected," Alec explained.

"So, I wasn't just going crazy," Danielle scoffed.

"No, not at all," The raven haired boy said with a small chuckle.

"Who were those guys back at the club?" Danielle asked.

"Those were shapeshifting demons," Alec said and Danielle's eyes widened.

"Demons?" She said in disbelief, "yeah I'm going crazy."

"Jace, my sister and I are shadowhunters, we protect the human world from the demon world, all the legends are true. There were murders around the city who were drained of blood and we found out that demons were giving it to other ones," Alec said, "but, you and Clary saw us when you are not supposed to."

"Alec, this is crazy," Danielle said as she ran her hand through her light brown hair.

Alec nodded, "I know this is a lot to take in, but this is all true."

"So, I am one of you?" Danielle asked.

"I think so," Alec nodded, "You are taking this better than your sister."

"Yeah, she's a bit more dramatic than me but it also makes sense...my whole life, I've felt like something has been missing," Danielle said as she looked into his ocean blue eyes, "and speaking of Clary, where is my sister?"
