Jake Mason was never one to be a morning person. It was Saturday, and it was a relax day for the campers. He rubbed his eyes tiredly and sat up as Harley shook his shoulder. "What'd ya need little bro?" He murmured, yawning.

Harley walked over to the bathroom and leant against the doorway, crossing his arms. Jakes eyebrow quirked up, and he lazily walked over to the small bathroom.

He was greeted by Nyssa, who was on the floor behind a very sick Leo, who gave him a small wave and attempted to shove Nyssa away. "What's wrong?" He asked.

"He's been sick all morning. Harley found him earlier and woke me up. I'm pretty sure he's running a fever, but it's hard to tell because of him being a fire-user. He's been throwing up for a while now, we thought we'd come get you." She explained, rubbing soothing circles into the back of Leo's hoodie.

He finished dry-heaving, and Jake cringed at the sound. Leo slumped backwards into the wall and closed his eyes, and Nyssa gave an upsetting look. "You done?" She asked.

The Latino nodded, and she helped him stand. Jake scratched the back of his neck and was about to call for Beckendorfs bunk, but even with Nyssas help, Leo was so exhausted he was barely standing, and she directed him over to her closer bunk. Leo plopped down and rolled over to his side, giving Jake a better view of how sick he really was.

His hair was matted down, and he was a sickly pale, but flushed cheeks. Dark bags hung under his eyes, giving him an exhausted look. Leo rolled back onto his back and lay a hand on his stomach, his head lolled off to the side.

Jake had seen plenty of sick kids even before he was head counselor. But right now he was a little confused on what to do, Leo being a fire-user and all. Regardless, Leo was his responsibility, and under his care. "I'll send someone to go get Will to come take a look at him. For now just let him rest."

He sent a second year camper to go get the son of Apollo while the rest of the cabin began to wake. Some campers didn't say anything about the boy in the corner, some looked over with worried or confused eyes, and some came over to see if the great Leo Valdez could actually get sick.

When Will knocked on the door in sweatpants and a tank, Jake walked over to the door and opened the vault-like contraption. "Hey man, sorry for getting you up this early. Most of the cabins asleep." He stepped aside for the son of Apollo to enter, and Will carried in a medical bag behind him.

"Where is he?" He asked, being mindful to be quiet of the sleeping campers.

Jake directed him to Nyssas bunk, where she sat at the foot and Harley leant against the wall. "Oh wow." Will said.

"Is that bad?" Jake asked.

"No, well, kind of? Not really. I just didn't think you were serious when you said he might be sick. But just by the look of him, man, he caught something." Will opened the bag and took a thermometer out.

Leo didn't even flinch when his temperature was checked. "106. For us that's like a 103, but considering he's a fire user it doubles. He's definitely got a fever. You said he was throwing up?"

"Yeah, just got back from the bathroom." Harley said.

"Then there's not much I can do for him, I'd say give him some ambrosia or nectar, but he's not fatally injured or anything, so it might burn him up instead. Give him rest, try to get him to eat something. Give him a lot of water, he's gonna need it. Call me if anything changes."

"Thanks, Will." Jake mock-saluted the blond, and turned his attention on the Latino who was bursting through the bathroom doors again.

Nyssa was already with him, and as soon as Leo's form stopped wracking back and forth, he slumped into Nyssa. "Leo, we should get you to bed again."
