The accident happened sophomore year.

Everyone blamed her for the death of there beloved star quarterback.

Then eventually she blamed herself to.

It wasn't because earlier that week they had road work. And there was still loose gravel that could possibly swerved them off the road into the ditch.

It wasn't because it had recently rained. And the roads were pretty slippery

She should have just did what he told her to.

~ Flashback~

Lynx had just been dragged out if the house full of intoxicated teenagers and loud music.

"Lynx, get in the truck." Alec ordered.

She stood at the end of the sidewalk in front of Alec's truck with her arms crossed over her chest.

"Please" Alec said calmly. She ignored him.

" Lynx El Anderson , Get in the truck!!" Surprised by his sudden outburst, She shuffled over to the passenger side.

"I was having fun Alec." She pouted.

"That wasn't fun Lynx. Watching you stumble threw that house. You need to go home." He sighed.

" Take me back Alec! I want to go back!"she yelled at him obviously drunk out of her mind.

She started swatting and slapping him.

Blocking him from his view of the street.

" Lyn stop! Lynx i cant see the road." When he could finally see the road he saw the oncoming car.

He rolled over into the passenger seat and covered lynx.

Before the truck hit he said on last thing to his girlfriend.

"You are going to be okay. I love you."

~ End of Flashback~

She was now in junior year and the comments about the accident Had died down.

But the memories were always there.

It was now Monday morning.

And was currently driving to her high school.

Ever since friday night she hasn't stopped thinking about-

Then she realized she never got the boys name.

She barely knew what he looked because of the hood he wore over his head.

They only thing she saw was the small piercing on his lip.

She was so curious about about him.

She wanted to know what gave him the right to convict her for being underaged.?

Or

Why he was there? And why did he choose to talk to her.

And her biggest question was why did he even care?

But she was also confused on why did she care? Its not like she would ever see him again.

But deep down Lynx wanted to see him again.

About 15 minutes later she drove up into the parking lot of her school.

She turned of the ignition and walked up to the big class doors.

The day usually goes by super quick.

But today it was going by oddly slow.

Lunch finally came around and she went to her usual spot with her best friend Mac.

"Hey Lynx" she chimed.

"Whats up Mac?" Lynx said not really caring.

Mac was so much more outgoing. She was everything Lynx wasn't.

Mac could have any guy she wanted but the only reason she didn't have a boyfriend was because of lynx.

No one would want to date the best friend of the girl who caused the death of one of the most popular boys in school.

No matter how pretty or outgoing they where.

That was another thing Lynx blamed herself for.

She felt like she was holding Mac back from finding "the one".

But Mac always argued about it with her.

"Lynx are you even listening?" Those words snapped Lynx back into reality.

"Oh um sorry. I was just thinking."

"Ohh, about what?" Mac asking hoping she would answer her question with complete detail.

"Ummm, Homecoming" She lied. Homecoming was About 3 week away and thats all that Mac talks about nowadays.

"Omg really?" Mac asked so shocked of Lynx's sudden interest about the subject.

"Yeah, i was wondering if you would come and go dress shopping with me?" Lynx asked Mac.

Mac wiped away a invisible tear with her index finger.

"Im so proud of you. Of course i will." She exclaimed.

They ate their lunch while talking, most of it coming from Mac with a few one worded replies from Lynx.

" hey Lynx, i was wondering if you would come to a party with me this Friday?" Mac asked nervously.

Lynx hadn't been to a party for a long time. Because it brought up so many emotions.

But Lynx was trying to be opened to these type of things again and se knew if she didn't go then Mac wouldn't.

She didn't want to ruin Macs fun.

"Um sure." Lynx replied hesitantly.

"Great! Ill text you and tell you what time ill be picking you up."

And with that Lynx was going to one of her first party's since the accident.
