Knowing what I know now... That mom was shot and made the decision to take my brother's place... I still didn't believe it. How could I when she got CANCER which killed her?! And the thing about that is, if my mom's stalker GAVE it to her, they're smart enough to have a cure too. I was so thrown from what I read, I didn't think about that until dad mentioned it. He had an hour of visitation so the first thirty minutes my brother and I shared together and we split the second half hour into fifteen minutes of alone time.

I wouldn't have brought it up to dad otherwise but he wasn't as taken aback as I was. That's when I remember what mom wrote. Dad had a similar instance after he was in the tour bus accident after uncle Trey died and it all clicked. It was REAL and those dreams were their guardian angels coming to them the only way they could. Everything made sense then about why mom insisted on having things a certain way when it came to birthdays. Everyone but her's anyway... To this day I don't know why she wouldn't want that.

If I'd known, I'd want to celebrate the last years I had to the fullest by doing something on my bucket list every year on my birthday and then going all out for my family on theirs like she did. On my tenth birthday, her show Claws just ended and her clothing line was doing better than ever. Hence why she wanted to give me a big party and dad not so much. My sweet sixteen was six years away and wanted to save money for that; and my car. He knew my personality and that I wanted both.

He didn't like spoiling me just because he had the money if it wasn't my birthday or Christmas and the money mom wanted to spend made no sense to him. Especially with her harping on him if she felt like he was spoiling me too much. They also had to plan my brother's birthday next year. He asked her about that and it didn't go well. It was like it hit her all at once that she didn't have much time left with us and she wasn't going to tell dad. She hadn't told anyone! Anyway, they got into a huge argument over it.

In the end, the whole car and house compromise, which I couldn't get until I finished college, was made. At least that's what I'm assuming but I won't know until I read the next journal entry. I knew, again from the title, what it was about. Mom started that in her last months because she wasn't writing in it as often as she was. This specific day she wrote about because I witnessed her fight with dad that almost ruined the whole day:
