Sam then walked out and heading over to us. He looked to both of us seeing the anger in Dean's face and the guilt in mine. Sam quickly cleared his throat and threw is bag beside Dean's.
"Well?" Sam asked as he opened the passengers door.
Dean walked past me, opened the driver's door and slammed it hard. I quietly got into the back seat and stared out the window.
Sam turned and gave me a puzzled look, I just shook my head and gave me a small smile and turned back around.
Dean's P.O.V.
How the fuck could Cas even think of that? What about the whole church window speech he gave me?
I was driving a bit faster then I usually do, nothin' better then driving my baby and givin' it some gas.
I looked to Sam who was busy on his phone, with what I don't know since as far as I know the kid has no friends. Rear view mirror to look at Cas. He was staring out the window sadly.
I sighed and gave my eyes a quick rub.
"You didn't do shit Dean, you shouldn't be the one who feels guilty here."
I looked to Cas again, clearly I wasn't the only one.
I was thinking over what Cas had asked me and the more I thought about the more I understood what he's worried about, hell I'm worried about it too.
"Fuck I'm an ass."
Keeping my left hand on the wheel I reached my right arm back and gave Cas's leg a squeeze, he looked up to the rear view mirror and once our eyes met I have him a wink and he gave me a weak smile.
We came across a gas station and I pulled into the gravel lot and parked.
"Hey Sam, gave some food and drinks." I said.
Sam nodded and got out of the car. I got out too and stretched out my back, I watched Sam as he pulled open the dusty door and a hear the sing of a rusty wind chime as the door hit it.
I opened Cas's door. "Come on out." I said.
Cas obediently got out of the car and shut his door.
"Cas I was thinking about what you asked me and how much of an asshole I was to you about it, I get what you were getting at." I said.
"You weren't rude for no reason Dean, I was out of line. I was the um.. Asshole." Cas replied.
I breathed a laugh. "Truth is Cas, I'm worried about that stuff too sometimes."
"I don't think you.. We need to be worried about it any longer Dean." Said Cas sincerely.
"Why's that?" I asked.
"Because you still have something the other demons don't." He said.
"Which is?" I asked puzzled.
"Humanity." Said Cas simply.
Just then Sam walked out of the gas station carrying two full bags as he made his way back to the car, Cas and I got in our seat and waited for Sam.
Kansas was about 35 miles away so Sam decided to take a short nap and I decided to eat one of the candy bars he had brought.
Once we got to Kansas we drove over to the station to see Jody, she gave us the details.
There was a shooting the other day at some office building leaving 25 people dead there were two shooters but when one of the gun man was questioned he told the cops he didn't remember a damn thing.
