-2 weeks later-

Cas's P.O.V.

Dean and I laid in his bed together, the room was completely dark except for the dim light coming from the small lamp on the bedside table.

I sat by it skimming through a book Sam had gave me saying "It's a pretty good read Cas!"

I hardly understood how a book about a whale could be that good of a read but I trust Sam's judgment.

I looked over to Dean, he was laying on his back with his left arm over his eyes. He was motionless besides the steady fall and rising of his chest.

"You know what's something I miss most 'bout being human?" He asked with a long sigh.

"What would that be Dean?" I asked.

"Sleep." He groaned. "The nights too damn long and boring without it."

I thought about what Dean had just said and I too liked sleep in my short time as a human but it isn't something I missed much. I'm also sure it isn't what Dean misses most either.

I put my book down on the small table and turned off the light leaving Dean and I in a calming darkness and silents.

"Please turn on your right side Dean." I said.

"Huh? Why?" He asked.

"Please just do as I ask." I replied.

Dean gave me a looked but obediently turned to his right.

"Happy?" He asked sarcastically.

"Quite." I replied as I pulled Dean into me.

"Woah woah, hold on a second Cas." Dean said suddenly.

"Is something the matter Dean?" I questioned.

"Yeah, don't you think I should be the big spoon Cas?" He laughed.

"Big spoon? What are you talking about Dean?" I asked confused.

"Right now you're the big spoon and I'll the little spoon-" Started to explain Dean.

"I don't understand Dean, why are we spoons?" I said in utter confusion.

"Becau-" Dean started but then started to laugh. "You know what, fuck it."

Dean snuggled in closer to me in a slightly curled position which I replicated, I put my arm around him and rested my face by his neck breathing in his clean scent.

"Now we sleep." I said.

"Sleep?" Dean repeated.

"Yes." I simply replied.

"Uh Cas.." Asked Dean in the same confusion I had only a moment ago.

"We can pretend Dean." I said softly.

Dean laid quiet for a minute. "Sounds good Cas, sounds good."

A small smile crept across my lips as I felt pleased with my idea, I'm sure if I could look at Dean's face he would be smiling too.

Hours had gone by until Sam opened Dean's door and stepped in.

"Dean it's like 10am what are you still doing in be-" Sam stopped and stared at Dean and I for a moment.

"Uh never-mind." Sam said stepping out with a smirk.

"Fucking Sam." Dean muttered sitting up.

"What are you doing Dean?" I asked.

"Getting up." Said Dean with a smile as he put on a black shirt.

I nodded and watched him as he got dressed.

"You comin' babe?" Dean asked as he held his hand on the nob of his door.

I quickly got up and put on clean clothes and Dean and I walked out to the main room to sit with Sam.

Sam was leaning back comfortably in a wooden chair as he scrolled through pages on his laptop.

"Have a good sleep Sammy?" Dean asked, taking a seat across from Sam.

Sam shrugged, "Can't complain."

Sam was holding an empty coffee cup in his left hand slightly turning it in small but quick circles.

"Would you like more coffee Sam?" I asked.

"Oh sure, that would be great Cas." He replied handing me his cup.

I walked into the kitchen and found a half empty pot of coffee that was lukewarm, I carefully filled Sam's cup, I could hear the boys talking.

"Never knew you were the little spoon type Dean." Laughed Sam.

"Shut up." Dean groaned.

I walked back to the room the boys were and handed Sam his coffee as I took a seat by Dean.

"Thanks Cas." Sam smiled taking a sip.

I sat happily listening to Sam and Dean lightly argue about something I don't really understand. Soon my head was filled with the voices of multiple angels.

"Everything alright Cas?" Dean asked with concern.

"Yes Dean, everything's fine." I lied.

"You sure?" Sam questioned.

"Yes, but I have to go for a moment. I'll be back soon." I quickly said as I flew out of the room with angelic speed.

In the blink of an eye I was in a dusty abandoned car wash with two angels in black suits standing in front of me.

"Brothers." I greeted formally.

"Castiel, there as been some talk about you in heaven." Said the tall angel in a harsh voice.

"And what might this 'talk' be about?" I asked.

"You and Dean Winchester." Replied the other coldly.

"There is nothing for the angels to talk about." I said calmly.

"Oh? is that so Castiel, so you and Dean whom I might add is now a demon aren't romantically involved?" Questioned the tall one with a glare.

"What would it matter?" I replied coldly.

"What a pathetic excuse of an angel you are." He said.

I seen the angel standing by the tall one slid an angel blade into his hand just as I slid mine into my left hand which was hiding behind my back.

The man quickly ran at me with the blade held proudly in his hand, I swiftly dodged his deadly blow and stuck my blade deep into his abdomen, his vessel shone with a blinding light as he feel dead to the flood.

The other angel hit my face with a hard punch and a kick to the ribs, pain shot through my body and I tried to get to my felt only to be knocked down again and pinned to the ground.

"Such a pathetic excuse." He whispered as he slid his blade across my chest leaving a long deep cut.

I let out a painful groan with gave my attacker a look of pleasure, He slid the blade down my right temple down to the start of my jawline.

"Why are you doing this?!" I harshly asked.

"You must pay for your sins Castiel." He said as he glared into my eyes.

He raised the blade and I knew what was coming next but before he could bring the blade down I gave him a swift punch to the face and forcefully pushed him off me grabbing the angel blade as it fell from his hand.

He landed on his back and I was quick to pin him down, I knew there was no reasoning with him so I knew what must be done.

"You have falling in every way brother." Said the angel as I priced the blade though his chest.

I stumbled to my feet bloody and in pain, my mind still processing the events that have just occurred.

"It was all because of Dean." I thought to myself.

"And it was all worth it because of Dean."
