It's the day after the incident with David Malagan. Jack and I are in our hotel room again, not far from the racetrack, and fairly close to where said incident happened. Both of us are still slightly shocked about what happened yesterday.
We sat down in front of the TV, as we are still in the dark about how it happened or what it caused.
It is said that Malagan died only seconds after impact, yet it's not known what the cause was. While my thoughts were going everywhere, Jack had a look on his face that seemed like he was lost in thoughts, yet was concentrated.
Only a few seconds later, Jack suddenly grabbed the TV remote, rewinding back to the news that ended just a moment ago.
"...I know what happened" he said soft yet serious. I was confused about his sudden reaction, and asked him: "Didn't they say it was a mistake, something caused by the Prototype?". While he was still rewinding, looking for a certain point in the news show, he glanced at me, saying confidently: "It wasn't."
He hit the play button after finally finding what he was looking, let it play for only a few seconds after pausing it. He jumped up, went up to the TV and pointed at what seemed like a person holding something. It took me a moment to see what it was.
"The prototype got shot.", Jack said with a cold voice.
