~Anduin~
The dining hall eventually gained a loud chattery atmosphere. Anduin finish up the last of his meal while glancing over the the members of Duskren.
The group mostly consisted of fair colored people with light hair. They were dressed in colors of royal purple and maroon. Anduins eyes landed back on the woman he helped earlier, she seemed to be distant from the conversations around her.
He was broken out of his thoughts by someone clearing their voice. Turning his head and saw a noble of Stormwind standing, gaining the attention of the others. The noble smiled and looked around the room "Ah seems like we've all enjoyed our breakfast so let's discuss the engagement of our king to the beautiful lady of Duskren" he said in a sing song tone. " We will be honored to unite the House of Wrynn and the House of Duskren ! " he said causing nods of heads and sounds of agreement flow into the room.
Anduin nodded his head showing that he was listening still not sure where his feelings lie. The noble suddenly gestured to the young woman that was walking with Anduin earlier. She stood and held her head high with a neutral look upon her face. " May I present to you lady Fay Duskren " the young woman bowed her head before sitting down.
Anduin looked at the woman again taking her looks in, she was beautiful to him and they technically already met which he thought would take some of the awkwardness away from the situation. After a moment the noble started to speak again. " let us leave the two so they can get aquatinted, for the rest of us let us all discuss the finer details in the study ?" he said pushing his chair in while the other nobles followed.
The nobles slowly left the room chattering and glancing leaving the two in silence. Anduin stood to his feet and walked over to the young woman trying to keep things from being awkward , he held out his hand to her and smiled politely.
" Miss Fay would you mind going on a walk with me ?" With a proper tone his asked as his hand extended in front of her. She looked at him still with a neutral face and gently took his hand standing up.
She didn't seem to happy with the situation but he couldn't blame her, he still didn't know how he felt.
He gently started to guide her out of the dinning hall back into the normal halls of the keep. " Miss Fay please tell me about yourself. " he asked softly not quite sure how to start a conversation with her.
She looked at him and let out a sigh " well I'd prefer you'd find out naturally how I am but if you insist, I tend to enjoy learning about new cultures,dealing with creatures , erm reading.. honestly I'd prefer if you learned this over time " she said sighing softly repeating her first statement.
Anduin nodded his head in understanding. " Well Miss Fay we will have plenty of time for that" optimistically he linked his arm with hers. " now is there anywhere in particular you'd like to visit in the keep, I know you said you were curious earlier "
She scrunched her nose and let out a embarrassed laugh " Oh you remembered that.. Uh a library or a Stable? " she asked softly. " I personally just wanted to see the keep for myself if I'm going to end up living here " she admitted shrugging her shoulders.
" Ahh well that would make sense. Hopefully the keep is your liking, you'll have your own chambers of course and they can be decorated to your liking. " Anduin gently patted her arm and smiled at her. He was trying his best to keep things from being weird.
" Well id hope I could decorate my own living area. It be strange if I couldn't " she teased lightly " Now Your Highness on with the tour ? " she asked politely.
Anduin nodded his head and let out a chuckle, he was glad that things seemed to be going smoothly. " of course my lady, oh and no need for formality's call me Anduin. " he said kindly wanting to keep the less awkward streak rolling.
She nodded her head as the two continued their walk around the keep, leaving Anduin feeling better about the situation than he expected.
