~Anduin~
A few weeks had passed, and in the young princes eyes it had been an enjoyable amount of time, enjoying the small amount of peace he had in his keep. Almost free of the constant worry for war and the horde. But such bliss could only last for so long. His attention would only be drawn back to the problems Azeroth presented the Alliance. It was a harsh slap back into reality, but it was a duty and the burden of a king.
Standing over maps and reports from all over Azeroth he looked over each with a careful eye. Each report containing more news of conflict, more bloodshed between factions and races... no sign for any sliver of peace just war. Taking the reports in hand the young king sighed almost defeated by the thought of war.
He wondered how his father would have dealt with this. Anduin chuckled and looked up at a portrait on the wall of his father looking a bit cross. The thought was silly, his father was the complete opposite of him, a marvelous gladiator and a strong determined king. He would of handled it much different most likely.
Looking away from the portrait he returned his attention to the reports thinking of what to do. He didn't want endless bloodshed but he also didn't want to just stand their as others lose their life. Beginning to feel conflicted he ran a hand through his hair trying desperately to think of some action that would help bring peace.
Being so caught up in his thoughts he failed to notice the door cracking open. Moving his head to his hands he sat there for a moment before he felt something lightly tough his forearm.
Startled his head quickly snapped up and he turned to the source of the touch, only to see a equally startled fay due to his sudden snap of movement. Her eyes were wide as she looked at him calming down from the startle. The sight of her caused Anduin to relax and gently place a hand over hers as it still rested on his arm.
" My apology's my lady I wasn't aware of your arrival or your presence." Anduin said before letting out a much needed chuckle.
Fay relaxed and smiled softly at him gently squeezing his arm. " no need to be sorry I was the one whom startled you. I should of known to make some soft of sound letting you know I was here." She her self let out a laugh looking right at the young king.
Anduin relaxed even more so at the happy feeling she brought into the room. " Well miss Fay what can I do for you?" He asked removing his hand from atop hers to collecting up the reports.
" Ah I was just looking for you, but was told you were stuck over reports, so I was hoping to give you company? And maybe learn a bit more on what's going on in this world ?" She said as she pulled a chair up to the table.
Anduin shook his head and sighed. " it's nothing to be proud about. Just endless fighting... and there seems to be no sign of a end." He voice sounded slightly defeated as he looked at Fay. He looked at her for a moment thinking of better ways of educating her about the finer details of the war and of its politics. She was queen to be due to the arranged engagement so she had to know.
Looking back at the map and reports an idea struck him. " Fay how'd you feel visiting Moonglade or Exodar? " he asked.
Fays eyes lit up and she nodded her head maybe a bit too enthusiastically. " Oh that'd be wonderful! I've never been able to travel to Kalimdor, or anywhere out of the Eastern kingdoms anyways. " Fay clasped her hands together in thought of visiting.
The young king couldn't help but give a small smile seeing the reaction his idea caused. " It will be more likely that we will be visiting Exodar, less conflict over there and I believe a visit is due to the prophet" he explained his voice sounding more hopeful than before.
Smiling again to himself he quite liked his idea, it was a way to get more information on Horde and Exodar was far enough away that he didn't have to worry about putting Fay in a place of danger.
" We will leave for Exodar in a day, I suggest packing soon " Anduin suggested.
Fay smiled and rose from her chair. " will do ! Thank you Your High... Anduin thank you " she said as she headed for the door again with a smile plastered to her face.
As she left Anduin couldn't help but smile forgetting momentarily about the Chaos on Azeroth and looking forward to the visit of Exodar.
