You're tired.
It's gotten to a point where you can not only see it from a distance, but you can hear it in your voice. And yet it's been only two days since the predicament with Jimin and you're already both mentally and physically exhausted. You'd think that with the incident invading the entirety of your thoughts, you would have already organized yourself enough to know what to do next. How to confront Jimin. How to confront yourself. When it has actually, in fact, only managed to worsen the situation.
You could call Yuna, it's what had first come to mind as you eagerly grabbed your phone at the thought. And yet as you were about to dial her number, you paused, thinking about exactly what kind of disaster you'd unleash on the poor, unsuspecting Jimin with her reaction. So you decided against it, looking for a better alternative, Jimin's best friend. Taehyung.
And skipping to the present time, the regret seems to be getting more and more apparent. There's an eerie silence as you sit opposite the aforementioned male on his living room couch, the velvet furniture that looked to cost more than your entire life's savings only serving as a distraction to the rather awkward ambiance. And then he breaks it.
"...So did you guys kiss?" FUCK HOW DID HE KNOW.
You lean closer to him, eyes wide and panicked, and that seems to answer enough. The male snorts, leaning back in his seat, "I was just guessing." FUCK I WAS TRICKED.
"What the hell!" You yell, horrified. Horrified of both his now inadvertent discovery and your all too predictable self. "Just-" You slump in your seat. "Just tell me what to do."
Taehyung pauses, hand resting on his chin as if in deep thought. "I don't know, my dude. I barely associate with hets, you're lucky you're one of the exceptions." As you're about to groan in protest, the male promptly stops you with a hand. "What you really need to think about is if you still think of your crush the same as you did before."
Right as his hand drops to his knee, you groan, burying your face in your hands. "Listen," You stop to look Taehyung dead in the eye, your brows furrowed in utter turmoil, "I don't know, I don't want Jimin to feel like I'm using him just to get rid of my possibly still existent feelings."
"Then don't." The male crosses one leg comfortably over the other as he says this, stating it as if it were the most obvious thing. He continues with that same tone, "Think over what you should do that won't hurt you and Jimin. I would prefer if my ship finally freaking sails for once, but yeah, do what's best."
That was obvious enough, but it really made you think when it's being pointed out so literally. You weren't about to dive headfirst into the first chance of a relationship you receive, nor are you planning on ruining your friendship with Jimin. Maybe with the whole situation being explained as clear as water as it is now, you can properly do what you should've done long ago.
Yeah. Even when faced with rejection, you'll do it.
So that's what later led you to be hidden in plain sight at the back of the school, face to face with none other than Min Yoongi himself.
You're sweating, hands awkwardly at your sides as you resist the urge to fiddle with something to distract yourself from the inevitable. Feet nervously rocking back and forth, you then muster up the courage and manage to mutter a lame- "hi."
Yoongi shoves his hands in his pockets as he answers with a hi of his own. You then suppose it's your turn to continue, whether you like it or not. "Uh.." You swallow loudly. "I've gotta tell you something."
The male in front of you scoffs out a laugh, "You sure? This looks like you're about to murder me or something."
You blink slowly before your eyes widen, "No no! That's- no!"
