*Susie's POV*
For the first time in forever, I'm actually here before class, but that's just because I wanted to see if there was any chalk that could be eaten.
To my surprise, Noelle is here reading a book, fucking nerd. Great, now I can't just grab some chalk and leave, it would this situation more awkward. Plus, I think Noelle is staring at me. Since she's shy, I decided to break the ice."You come early often?" I ask monotonously, looking at the ground.
"Oh! Umm, sometimes!" Noelle pipes up, as she was fidgeting in her seat, "I like to read for a whilebwhen no one is here."
"You sure like to read" I reply, leaning against the door.
"Well yes! Reading is fun! It is peaculf and takes me away from reality. It really makes me feel that I'm in another world!" she blabbered on and on.
"Hmph, typical" I mumbled under my breath.
"And what about you, Susie?" Noelle asks me.
Not wanting her to tell her that I was looking for chalk to eat, I make a bullshit excuse.
"I lost something and decided to check here but it's not" I reply nonchalantly.
"Oh that's unfortunate" Noelle said, putting her book down.
"Yeah, yeah" I sigh out scratching the back of my head.
"I can help find it for you!" she cheerfully states, getting out of her seat eagerly.
Getting a bit caught off guard as I wasn't expecting her to help me, I decline her offer, as she stooped dwon to her chair. I kind of feel bad of not taking her offer, but what am I supposed to do. As I was about to walk out the door, we locked eyes and stared intently at one another.
I'll have to admit, Noelle has the eyes of a warm winter day.
