*THERE IS SMUT IN THIS CHAPTER (but like really later on)
When Louis wakes up a couple mornings later, he's in the back of an SUV with Harry's arms wrapped tightly around him. The younger lad is sleeping, and snoring quite loudly in his ear. Louis WOULD smack him or something to wake him up and/or quiet him down, but that's the least of his worries right now. Why the fuck is he in an SUV and not back at the flat? He's pretty sure that's where he fell asleep last night.
He carefully pries himself out of Harry's arms, sitting straight up so he can see who else is in the truck. He calms down slightly when he sees Niall in the seat in front of them, and Zayn and Liam in the front seats. Still, he doesn't really know why they decided to kidnap him while he was sleeping and not tell him anything. What was going on?
Louis is going to ask, because he's starting to get extremely frustrated at the whole situation, but then he hears Zayn shouting out 'we're here!' and starts to panic even further.
He feels Harry move around from beside him, and then his snores are quieted and being replaced by a yawn. Louis can't help but to look at him, and a small smile works it's way onto his lips when he sees him, all sleepy and bleary eyed. But then his adoration is replaced by furiousness because he STILL doesn't know what's going on.
"Good morning, love," Harry mutters sleepily, in that adorable morning voice Louis loves. He glares at him nevertheless.
"Where are we? Why are we here? What are we doing here? Why wasn't I aware of this?" Louis asks, growing further exasperated after each question. It's completely unfair for everyone else to know and not him. Is it because of what happened with the baby? Did they think he would freak out and go back into his depression or whatever that horrible stage was? No, Louis was done with all that. Of course he was still saddened about the loss of his child, but he had Harry, and when the time came, they could always try again. So Louis had learned to get over it. It'd been hard, terribly so, but with the help of Harry and the lads, he'd done it.
That's why Louis doesn't understand why they wouldn't tell him what's going on. He hopes it isn't because they think he can't take it.
"Well, you'll see in a couple of minutes where we are. And we're here because the boys and I thought it'd be good to get away for a little while. I don't really know what we're going to do here, just goof off probably, and you weren't aware because... It's a surprise, I guess. Sort of a lame one until you go outside, though."
Louis nods, hurrying onto the seats in front of him, where he flops down and lands ungracefully on his stomach. Niall doesn't even try to hold back his laughter.
"How're you today, Lou?" He asks, accent thick with amusement. He's standing outside, holding the door open so Louis can get out.
Louis grunts. "Fine, thanks." He answers, despite the fact that his stomach now hurts from basically doing a belly flop onto the seat. He scoots out of the way as Harry lands (more easily than Louis) into the seat beside him. He takes hold of Louis' hand as they walk out the truck door, and Louis automatically knows where they are.
Harry's step-father's bungalow, the place they'd came when they were first formed as a band. Memories, and lots of them, start to flood Louis' mind, causing him to swallow thickly and hold Harry's hand more tightly than he had before. Everything was so much easier when they were in the X Factor. They weren't Modest! Management's little slaves. They were just five boys having the time of their lives. Louis misses those days.
"Oh," he exclaims, surprised that Harry thought this would be a good place to hang out for a while. Louis' trying to focus on the future, and that's hard to do when the bungalow just reminds him entirely of the past.
