'And he just left?' Namjoon stared at Jimin in disbelief. 'Just like that?'

It was early morning. And while on his way to work Namjoon checked in on Hoseok.

'He was in one of his moods last night.' Jimin told him. 'Because Hoseok wanted me to stay with him in his bed. I didn't handle it well, but he was scaring Hoseok. So, I told him to leave.'

Namjoon shook his head. 'Okay, where is he now?'

'I don't know.'

'Have you called or text him?'

'I can't he smashed his phone and left it to look.' Jimin pointed to the phone that was now on the coffee table.

'Great!' Namjoon muttered. He checked the phone. Pressed the power button, and it lit up. All seemed to be working fine. 'Looks like it's just the screen that's cracked. That's something, at least.'.

There was an unopened message. He unlocked the phone using the pin they all share since none of them needs to keep secrets, and Taehyung always forgets the pin and often asks the others what it is.
The text reads -

Now you've broken everything.

'What the hell?' Namjoon scrolled through the texts from the unknown contact. 'He was still getting messages. Why didn't he say something? Someone was teasing him, making him think something was going on between you and Hoseok.'  He eyed Jimin. 'Have you had any messages?'

'No, not since the one we all got.'

'Jimin, can you bring me Hoseok's phone?'

'You think he might have messages too?'

'Yes, I do."

Jimin found the phone on the bed beside a sleeping Hoseok. He slowly took the phone, trying not to wake him. He stirred a little but did not wake.

'I got it.'

Namjoon took the phone, he quickly read through the texts. 'Jimin, this serious. we need to find out who is doing this.'

'So, you don't think that it's just a joke?'

'If it is, I don't find it very funny.'

'But you have to go to work.'

'Good job I'm the boss then isn't it?' He patted Jimin's shoulder. 'You stay here with Hoseok, don't leave him. I'll take the phones to the station. And not a word to the others just yet, we don't want to scare them."

Jimin nodded. He watched Namjoon leave the apartment. He checked his phone; there were no messages. He let out a sigh of relief.

'Jimin?' Hoseok called from his spot on the sofa. Jimin came from the bathroom and sat down next to him.

'Yeah, Hobi?'

'I don't think I love Tae anymore.'
'What?' Jimin gasped. 'What do you mean? He's your boyfriend.'

'I feel like I can't trust him anymore.'

'Because of the texts you've been getting?'

Hoseok gaped at Jimin shocked. 'How did you know about that?'

'We checked your phone. Tae has been getting texts too.'

'What were they about?'

Jimin hesitated. He knew he shouldn't keep anything from Hoseok. He would hear about it eventually anyway.

'Someone was telling him that you and I are together again.'

'And that's why he is angry?'

Jimin nodded. 'I think he really believes it too.'

The pair stayed silent for a while. Then Hoseok finally spoke.
'I really don't think I want to be with him anymore. I hate how angry and jealous he gets. He scares me sometimes.'

Jimin frowned. 'Why have you not said anything about it before?'

'It might sound stupid, but, I was scared to in case he hit me again.'

'What?' Jimin held Hoseok's shoulders, forcing him to face him. 'He hit you? When?'

'It doesn't matter.'

'It clearly does.'

'It was months ago now. He was so drunk he probably doesn't remember it.'

'Hoseok, please just tell me.'

Hoseok bit his lip. 'Okay, do you remember when I met that guy, Christian?'

'Oh, yeah. He was all over you.'

'Yeah, and even though I told him I had a boyfriend. Tae still got mad. He accused me of cheating on him. We argued, Tae got drunk, and he hit me.'

'Wait.' Jimin shook his head. 'I thought it was Christian that hit you.'

Hoseok nodded. 'That's what we told you all but, he didn't touch me. It was Tae that gave me that black eye."

'Hoseok, I think you definitely should break up with him then. He's too jealous and controlling. And if he scares you, that's not good. A relationship isn't supposed to be terrifying."

Hoseok nodded. 'I know. The texts made me realise that. And Jimin, Suga really is back. I don't know how he knows what we are doing and where we are all the time. But I'm telling you, I know he is back. And he is angry that I'm with Tae.'

'Do you mean that he's still alive or, he is haunting you?'

'I don't know. It seems like he is a ghost, but, when I saw him, he was so real. He touched me.'

'Hobi, are you sure you saw him? I mean I'm not disbelieving you just, you know with the meds you're taking. Well, you seem like your old self again now, but before you were so chaotic.'

'Jimin I know what it looks like but, I'm okay now. I just freaked out. I was scared after seeing Suga.'

'I guess that makes sense.'

'I want to find him, Jimin. I need to get Suga back but, I don't know how to or even where to look.'

'Hobi,' Jimin held Hoseok's hand. 'Whatever you need to do, I will help you.'

Hoseok smiled at Jimin. He had forgotten how sweet he could be. As he realised this is the first proper chat they had been free to have since Hoseok got with Taehyung.

'Thank you, Jiminie.'

'But, Hoseok. I'm sorry I have to ask, was it Tae that gave you these bruises from the other night?'

'I don't know. I can't remember how I got them.'

'You're not just saying that to protect him, are you?'

'No, I really can't remember.'

'Okay.' Jimin hugged Hoseok. He couldn't help thinking that it must have been Taehyung, but he said no more about it.
