Chapter fifteen: The crispy cookies

Each of the krew members are in their dorm planning for the talent show and auditions that will be coming up. Draco has gotten used to going to Rainbow's and Gold's dorm so he wanted to tag along with them, except for Gold, who is at Funneh's dorm.

Funneh's P.O.V

Hummmmm... (thinking noises) What song should I do? Imma have to be against the krew for this so I can't really ask for help. Imma call Alec. Maybe he can help. I dialed down his number and waited for a response. He picked up and said, "Hello?" And before he could say anything, I said, "Hey Alec, have you heard of the talent show coming up?" He responded with a "Uh-huh," and said, "What about it?" I then said, "Well, imma be auditioning for it and I need some help," "You're doing it too? I've already signed up just now," then he paused and gasped, "What if we did a duo together?" He asked and I could feel that I was blushing as a light shade of pink spread across my face. "S-sure Alec!" I said and he continued, "Ok I've already signed my name next to yours. How about I go to your dorm to plan this out instead of talking on phone?" "Ok. See you later Alec," then I hung up and I flopped down on my bed with a huge smile. I felt like something was watching me so I looked around and saw Gold peeking inside the room with a smile and once she saw me, she zoomed to the kitchen. I got up and followed her and she said, "Sorry Funneh but I got bored. Also you're doing a duet with Alec?" I nodded and I said, "You should do one with Kyran," I gave her a grin and she turned bright red. "Haha, just kidding. But Alec should be here any minute now." Her face expression changed and said, "Oh! Then I gotta make snacks for you two!" I was about to stop her but then she started walking around the kitchen getting ingredients, so I just sighed and went to my room. I later then heard the door and I rushed to get it and it was Alec holding something behind his back. He smiled and came up to me to give me a hug with his free hand and when he let go, I said, "What are you holding behind your back?" He took it out and it was a bright red guitar that matched his hair perfectly. He walked toward the couch and I followed. "During the summer, I was learning quite a few things. I've gotten the hang of playing the guitar now," he said as we sat down and he adjusted the guitar strap around him and started playing a couple notes then later turned to music. He finished and I smiled and said, "That's really cool Alec," he smiled then there was a quiet moment where we were just staring at eachother and said nothing, just staring at eachother's eyes. That moment was ruined when Gold put a big-ole tray with burnt cookies in front of our faces. We turned around, leaving eachother's eyes and she said, "I've made some cookies for you two! Enjoy!" Then Alec said, "Where are they?" I elbowed him and said to Gold, "What he means is, um, nice rocks?" Then she quickly responded, "If you think they're burnt, your wrong. They're CRISPY!" We shrugged and got a "cookie" and stuffed it in our mouths. We immediately needed some water so we rushed to get the closest water source there is, tap water. We gulped it down and gasped and Alec said, "Ugh! That cookie made my tongue numb!" Then I quickly turned to Gold, who was also trying her cookies and once she put it in her mouth, she immediately joined us near the sink. "What did you put in there? It tasted like salt and burnt chocolate chips!" I said to her as she rinsed herself. She went to the counter and looked at the ingredients and said, "Oops," once she picked up a jar that looked like salt or sugar. "I accidentally put salt instead of sugar," she said as she got her tray and dumped the cookies in the trash. "Its ok, I can always make more!" She said excitedly as she got all of her ingredients once more. Me and Alec felt like we just died in that very spot.
