When she was born she was greeted with joy
But soon they realized she wasn't a boy
Though they hid their emotions well
She could see that they had a story to tell.
As she grew up she realized
Being a girl made her feel despised
But she was not always sidestepped
And if she talked too much she was quieted.
Just because how her body's made
She wonders why she's treated like an insect?
She's thrown, pushed down and suppressed
And then from freedom she has to disconnect.
Too fat, too thin
Too tall, too short
And when she starts to win
She's silenced with a retort.
As long as she's beautiful or pretty
And is soft and submissive
They can break her personality
And that's how she's forced to live.
But not anymore
She has found her wings
But you will hear her roar
As she's quelling against the kings.
Now that she has found a voice
People say she talks too much
But she can now rejoice
As she doesn't care about comments such.
They say her opinion doesn't matter
And that she is getting a bit fatter
But now she turns a deaf ear to them
And does what she wants all the same.
They say she is too loud
And that her head is in the clouds
But now she knows that they want to bring her down
And that she is a queen without her crown.
