So this album is a little different than her other ones. If you get the hard copy, you get a set of 13 Polaroids (there's five sets) that have lyrics that she wrote (65 Polaroids total). There's also a code to be entered in the 1989 Swiftstakes that can be entered only for the first week.
The deluxe album not only contains 3 extra songs. but 3 of her songwriting voice memos. Taylor's songwriting memos are when she is first sitting down to write a song or when a melody or lyric just hits her and she records it into her phone. These are her songwriting sessions and they are coming straight off of her phone.
In the 1989 Swiftstakes, you can win multiple prizes. There are 250 grand prize winners who would win a set of 2 tickets and 2 meet-and-greet passes to a future show. 250 other winners would receive a set of 2 tickets to a future show. 300 winners would get an autographed picture from Taylor. 300 more winners would get a 1989 tote bag. The last 398 winners would get a 1989 guitar pick pack. (There would be a total of 1,989 winners just for the Swiftstakes)
Taylor also has had 1989 Secret Sessions where she would invite 89 fans to her houses across the United States. This included California, Nashville, New York, and Rhode Island. (She had one in her hotel room in London with 21 fans) These all took place before the album came out and she would handpick fans herself and invite them to her house. She would bake for them and let them listen to the whole album (they weren't allowed to bring cell phones) When they left, she gave them 2 2015 calendars, 3 1989 tops, a key ring, and it comes in an 1989 tote bag. She also took Polaroids with all of the fans and their parents. (Check Taylor's Instagram, Twitter, etc. for pictures)
