Joe & Dianne~ it was fate

chapter three~ the final

It was the final and Joe and Dianne were so proud that they made it this far!
Joe's POV
I was so proud of myself and Dianne for getting this far into the competition and it would be amazing if we won! I feel like we've grown closer as dancers and as friend and I hope one day we can start dating! We haven't shared our feeling for each other yet because we can't have anymore roomers than there all ready are! We were getting ready, after doing amazing on the last two dances, to do our last ever dance together. I said to Dianne
"I can't believe this is the last time we'll be dancing together"
And she looked at me and her eyes filled up. I put my arm around her and she rested her head on my shoulder. I could hear her quietly sobbing and I said
"Hey, hey don't cry and ruin your makeup, save that for after we dance"
She wiped away her tears and then we were called onto stage for the last time ever!
Dianne's POV
Although I am extremely gutted that our strictly journey is nearly over, I can't wait to see what the future holds between Joe and I.
As we are getting into position for the last time I had a flashback to when Joe and I first met and when Joe knocked on the door and I shouted the most embarrassing thing! I came out of my flashback and the music began and I danced my heart out looking into Joe's eyes I could see how much he now loves dancing and then I knew we had to become a couple soon!
Joe's POV
That was it, it was all over and I was on such a high! After Dianne and I received an amazing score of 38 we headed backstage. I hugged Dianne tightly and said
"I hope I've done you proud"
She replied crying saying
"Joe you've done me more than proud, thank you for all the work and effort you put in every week. It mean a lot to me"
We walked over to the couch and sat down. That was it my strictly journey was over and in some way I didn't care if I won or not I knew I had something one million times better than the glitter ball trophy.
Dianne's POV
All four couples were lined up next to each other with the glitter ball trophy right in-front. Joe had his arm around me, I now knew I didn't care if I don't win because I have Joe as an amazing best friend! Then my heart started pounding. Tess said
"And our strictly 2018 champions are...."
It was the longest momentous my life. I could hear Joe breathing loudly and quickly. It was so quiet you could hear a pin drop.
"Stacy and Kevin!"
Joe and I immediately ran over and gave them both a huge hug and then I hugged Joe and said
"thank you"
