The wall exploded, the invisible force throwing all of us backwards as flames erupted from the collision. I felt myself fly through the air, landing painfully up against the concrete wall before sliding down and hitting the cold floor. Ripples of pain shot up my back and I felt my skull begin to throb from the hard impact.

My eyes creeped open. The house was in ruin, the entire wall of windows having been blow out. Part of the floor was missing, chunks of concrete were everywhere, some larger than me, and the furniture was destroyed, having been blown up.

A whimper escaped me as I tried to pull myself up to my feet, but my paws slipped on the slick floor, sending me back down immediately. A groan made me whip my head around. Tony was slowly getting up, leaning on to his elbows. He seemed more disoriented than I, having to shake his head a few times to clear it. I gathered up what strength I could and forced myself to my feet, getting my legs underneath me so that I could make my way over to Tony. Debris was still falling from the ceiling as I stood beside him, carefully nudging his arm with my muzzle.

Deep cracking sounds made both our head snap up. The ceiling was cracking apart, deep fracture lines crawling across the open space. Tony grabbed me quickly and tucked me close to his chest as the pieces began to fall. I closed my eyes tight, waiting for the impact, but it never came.

A loud thunk sound rang out, before I heard Pepper speak. "I got you." My eyes shot open and my tail wagged slightly when I saw she was crouched above Tony and I while wearing the Iron Man suit, having saved us from being crushed.

"I got you first." Tony said. His voice was shaky and out of breath. Tony slowly let me go and I climbed back onto my feet. "Like I said, we can't stay here!"

The ground beneath my paws began to rumble, small pebbles of debris bouncing slightly. I turned my head to the windows just in time to see another missile come flying into the house. I yelped and jumped back, the explosion from the missile throwing both Tony and I closer to the windows. I landed again on the hard concrete while Tony went over the couch. The air was pushed from my lungs as my side hit the ground first, a pain erupting in my side as I slid into a metal beam. The explosion rocked the house, the entire frame shaking under my body. My vision had gone blurry and I was having trouble making out different people. All I could tell was that Tony had immediately gotten back to his feet and was yelling at Pepper.

"Move!" He yelled at her. My ears rang with the aftermath of the loud explosions, but I was still just barely able to decipher his words. "I'm right behind you!" He yelled right before I felt arms lift me to my feet. I shook my head once to clear my vision, and sure enough, it was Tony helping me back to my feet.

Come on Rose. Get up!

I used every once of my strength to keep me standing so I could run next to Tony out of the house. That plan didn't go so smoothly though, as the floor opened up to reveal a huge drop right in front of us, keeping me or Tony from getting out. I skidded to a stop, my paws having trouble stopping on the slick flooring, managing to not fall off the edge by just a few inches. My heart was racing, panic beginning to settle in. My eyes darted around widely to try and find an escape anywhere. But the floor had been cut nearly completely in half, and there was no way I could find a safe way to maneuver Tony out.

"Get her, I'm gonna find a way around!" Tony ordered at Pepper, pointing at the unconscious Maya laying on her half of the room. Pepper looked just as scared as I felt and shook her head quickly as if she didn't know what to do.

"Stop stopping. Get her. Get outside." He barked, his superhero instincts definitely kicking in by that point. His tone was short, clipped and authoritative. "GO!" Pepper shakily nodded and ran over to Maya, the mask of the suit sliding down over her face.
