The Dreg Theatre is coming to town next week. It's all anyone can talk about. My friends has all got tickets to see them. The older kids tell us about the acts. "The African warrior can outrun anyone!" One guy says. "And the fire dancer is beautiful!" Says another girl.

I ask my older brother Jamie if he wants to go. "No! Why would I want to watch a bunch of Dregs jump around?" I want to go and see the girl. I manage to get through school, listening to Bradford telling us how bad Dregs are and how great Pures are. The same thing each day.

The limousine picks me and Jamie up and takes up back to Mum, the Prime Minister. It's her job keep the 'good people' in power. She doesn't like the Dregs, she wants them wiped off the face of the earth. It not easy but I try and convince Mother to take us to the theatre. "You could see some deaths," I tell her. I see Jamie look up from his phone. Mother looks at Jamie. "Would you like to go, love?" Jamie eagerly nods. Even Father agrees. "Well, they did give me VIP tickets," I cheer in my head and rush to my bedroom.

I grab my iPad and search for the fire dancer. It takes me to the Theatre home page. Her face is in the middle, flames flying around her. I scroll through the images of her. They all show her in the same expression; anger. Whatever it is, she never looked happy. Her name is Elizabeth. She's been in the Theatre for 3 years and the main star attraction. I think it's the beauty of her work that makes people love her so much. Do I have a crush on the star? I can remember a time when Jamie had a crush on a pop star. He wouldn't stop listening to her music. I swear I caught him kissing the poster he had. If you asked him this now, he'd say it was nothing.

In my heart, I make a promise to myself: No matter what the cost, I will talk to Elizabeth
