infinity ∞

∞ introduction; pt 2

you see, my family isn't perfect. it never really was. but my mother and father were probably two of the most caring, loving, and supportive parents you could ever have the pleasure of knowing. they showed me and my little brother leo nothing but love and support throughout our lives.

and i feel that was the only important thing that really mattered. was that, even through tough times, they still never failed to shower me and leo with nothing love, support, and positive vibes all around.

that was until that fateful summer night in 2015. it was 12:04am. we had gotten word from the doctor that my mother's esophagus was bleeding severely. my mother had gone to the hospital complaining of horrible stomach pains. after many many tests had been done, at 4:26am on june 28th 2015, that's when we found out. my mother had esophageal cancer.

i couldn't even explain to you how i felt in that moment. my heart stopped. i looked around at the boring plain walls of the hospital room. my eye caught a glimpse of a poster that said, "

suffering is permanent, obscure and dark, and shares the nature of infinity." -willam wordsworth.

i thought about it a little. and when i say i thought about it, i mean that i couldn't stop thinking about it to the point where it would cause me to have severe anxiety attacks. why may you ask? haha if i knew, i'd tell you.

i mean i've always liked the concept of infinity,

"never ending."

plus, my mother used to always say to me,

"no matter what happens, or how life plays out for you and i, i just want you to remember luna, i will always love you for infinity."

she would always tell me that during the bad times. it gave me hope. she gave me hope.

hope that, things would get better for us.

but unfortunately, things don't tend to always work out that way..

a/n- well i hope you enjoyed part 1 of my introduction! i put a lot of time and thought into it, and i hope you stick around, i promise things will get more interesting as the story progresses:)

oh and, there were some things i talked about in here that will be explained more and talked about in later chapters, so i will do my best to try and cover everything.

for this book, there is a lot of backstory and character info that i need to get into first before we can actually get to the good stuff! so stick around, i promise it'll get better.
