Taylor's POV

I'm not ready to hang up the phone. I wait until she does, which she hesitates but does it before me.

I want to make her feel special when she comes back. I was going to buy her a new wardrobe, but she wouldn't care for that. I was going to buy her a minivan, but she would just threaten punching me in the face. I was going to buy baby stuff, but again I'd be lost. I don't know how my mother got away with using the same baby shit for like 15 years straight. The only thing she would need to buy was pampers, wipes, and formula.

I need advice on this stuff with Sage. There aren't a lot of people I can talk to about her. If I would have taken advice from my father, I wouldn't have talked to Sage today. There's only one person I can talk to that truly knows Sage, her father, but I doubt we are on the best of terms at this moment.

I didn't think I would ever ask my father for Robert's number, but I do it anyway. Luckily for me, it isn't that late, just past visiting hours. His phone rings a few times before he finally answers, and we skip introductions, something that is common between us.

"Robert, this is Taylor and before you interrupt, I am not going to apologize for mouthing off at your stupidity."

"May I ask why you are calling me instead of Sage?" He asks, ignoring my bluntness.

"You may ask and I might answer but know what you did was seriously fucked up. You shouldn't have let her think you'd be disappointed if she was pregnant. She's a smart girl and she would definitely have been fine if she was pregnant with my baby."

"I understand your concern with Sage and if I had known she was pregnant, I wouldn't have been sad. I am very happy she is pregnant, excited even. I said that because I didn't want to leave her unhappy and stressed because of something I forced her into. Please pass on the message. I still am being selfish because I'm happy while she is obviously very upset. But if she's going to be having my grandchild, I want her only to be happy."

"That's why I called you. She's somewhere right now that I can't discuss the location with you further, but I want to surprise her when she comes back to me. I need help, yours specifically because nobody knows Sage better than you. I want to do something for her that isn't cliche or overdone."

"That's easy. All you have to do is..." He goes into description what Sage likes, and in no time, I have the perfect idea.

Putting it together is the hard part. I don't know when she's coming back or when she goes back to school. I'm still making her do online classes. Her going to school pregnant is bullshit. I don't want it happening. The only way that's happening is if I go with her and we both know that's not happening. There is no way she is going to school alone while she is pregnant and dealing with the stress of going to school everyday.

Once I have all planning for the trip done, I get in the shower and wait for her phone call. My bed is freezing cold without her warmth and legs tangled with mine. I've grown attached to her quickly, I miss her\already. I don't know how she's managed to do this to me in the few days that she's known me, but I put my ringtone on the loudest setting before going to sleep.

Sage's POV

This house is about the size as my home. Probably a bedroom or two smaller, but she lives in the suburbs so she must be doing good financially at least.

I've been standing on the porch for so long that the motion-censored lights turned off. They flick back on as I'm about to knock which scares me once again. I finally grow a pair to knock when another car pulls into the driveway. It's a Prius that contrasts dramatically in class when it's next to my all white Bentley.
