The Alpha's Secret

The beginning

Liz's POV

'How do you describe someone who has everything she wants, yet she doesn't feel complete?' My mind reeled with the thought of feeling incomplete lately.

"Liz..."
"Liz..."
"Elizabeth Steele!" My tutor screamed trying to get my attention

"Yes?" I replied quietly

"If you could stop staring into space and join us back in reality that would be great" he said with so much sarcasm.

"Ok Zachary" I replied with sass

"Ok fine then tell me the theme of the poem we are reading" he crossed his arms and a few other students looked at me

I sighed and looked down at my poetry book to Edgar Allen Poe and picked a random page hoping I was right

"Well there are many themes: fear can consume the mind; isolation causes insanity; it all depends on the reader's take on the poem" I said smiling

"Ok fine, maybe you weren't daydreaming." He turns and faces the board as the bell rings and I rush out of my class only to hear "DONT FORGER SENIOR FINALS ARE TOMORROW!" And I groan

"What's got you all grumpy?" My best friend Charlie, soon to be third in command, asked

"You have to be specific Char, you know she's always a pain in the ass after study hall" my other best friend, Scarlett, my future beta chimed in

"Well. Thanks for that scar. But I am dreading senior finals tomorrow!" I run my hand through my hair feeling the shaved sides and running my hand through my curls " I'm just thankful graduation is next week"

The two smile in anticipation "I can't wait! " they yell in unison

"Ok that's freaky, you two NEVER say anything at the same time" I laugh "let's go back to the pack house I hear we are getting a new family moving in. The father is supposed to be our new pack trainer" I smiled

"Oooooh!" Charlie smiled

"This is gonna be fun!" Scar rubbed her hands together maniacally

"RACE YA!" We all day in unison and shift into our wolves tearing our shirts and pants but leaving on our special undergarments that shift with us and stay underneath the fur so we aren't naked when we shift back

We take off unto the woods and off to the pack house where my dad, the Alpha, is waiting for the arrival of the newest addition to our pack

"I heard the daughter has lesbian hookups but her parents think she's straight" Charlie said through the mind link

"Ooh! Liz you could totally tap that if she's hot!" Scar added

"Oh shut up! I'm not getting into her pants I'm waiting for my mate" I say back and I charged ahead of the other two and made it to the pack house grounds first and shifted back in boxer/shorts and a sports bra "OH YEAH! I WIN LOSERS! SUCK MY BIG FAT LESBIAN DICK!"

"NO FAIR YOU CHEATED!" Scar shifted and playfully pushed me

"No you're just slow" Charlie laughed at her because Scar came in 3rd

"Hey that's my beta you're talking about bro!" I reply to Charlie and shove scar back "BUT YOU ARE RIGHT!!" I bust into laughter with Charlie

"Asshole!" Scar tries to start fighting me

"Oh you wanna fight?" I smile evilly

I tackle her to the floor and we roll around in the grass laughing. I pin her first and then she flips us around but too slow because I kick her off me and tackle her again. Charlie is laughing her ass off

Then I hear my dad clear his throat and we both stand up quickly with grass in our hair and dirt on our faces, and all over the rest of our bodies.

"Sorry dad" I scratch the back of my neck

"Sorry Alpha Nick" Scar And Charlie both bow their heads

"So this is the infamous Liz?" I hear a man come up from behind my dad

"Liz, Scarlett, Charlie. Meet Paul, our new pack trainer. And his wife Laura, their son Adam and Daughter Kara." I smile and wipe my hand on my boxer shorts then extend it to shake all their hands

"Nice to meet you all, I am Elizabeth, first born to Alpha Nick and next in line to be Alpha of the Golden Moon pack" I shake each of their hands but stop when it comes to Kara. We make eye contact and she blushes at our eye contact. I wink making her blush harder

I smirked and kissed the back of her hand "it's a pleasure"

"ANYWAYS!" Paul interrupted and took kara's hand from mine "I'm your new trainer, I hope you aren't so hot headed and impulsive tomorrow morning" he chuckles

I frown "I have finals tomorrow morning, guess you'll have to reschedule" I smirk back and he frowns looking at my dad

"You heard your future Alpha. Reschedule. That shouldn't be a problem now would it Paul?" My dad said patting Paul on the back. I knew he will always have my back

Kara and Adam snickered

"Yes Alpha" he bowed his head

"Good." He patted him on the back "Liz, Charlie, Scarlett? Show Kara and Adam around the grounds. It's their new home after all" my dad smiled and winked at me

"Soo" Adam looked at scarlet and myself "why are you so dirty?"

Charlie laughed "scar decided to try and fight with Liz and lost"

"And I'm dirty bc she kept touching me and dragged us into the mud" I laughed but I heard scar growl defensively and I looked at her "don't be mad... ya loser"

"Let's show you around. Starting with the living quarters because I want to get cleaned up and changed" Scar said running ahead of us

"So hey uhm, Charlie, is it?" Adam asked shyly

"Yes." She looked up at him and blushed

He smiled "wanna uh.." he scratched the back of his neck "maybe hang out sometime? You could tell me some of the good spots are in this town and we can get to know each other better"

"Sure. I would love to" she blushed even harder

"Awww. Charlie's got a date. Charlie's got a date" I teased her in a sing song voice

"Shut up" she laughed and shoved me

"You know I love you!" I shoved her back

We laughed and I started walking backwards I. Front of Kara and Adam. "So what brings your family to greystone?" I asked Adam

"Well we needed to-" he replied

"A change of scenery I guess" Kara cut him off and gave him a pointed look

"Well thanks for that ADAM" I looked at her "but seriously what beings you guys here?"

"We honestly just wanted to change packs" Adam says looking at Kara " like Kara said... a change of pace and to feel comfortable and safe in the most powerful pack on earth" he shrugged

We continued our walk down the path when all of the sudden Scarlett stops us

"What's that?!" Scar yelled pointing forwards
